Jason Biggs is learning there are limits to his turtle power.
The actor, who is voicing Leonardo in Nickelodeon’s upcoming Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles series, came under fire from parenting groups and conservative bloggers for controversial tweets he made during the Republican National Convention last week.
In a series of missives, he made sexual remarks about Ann Romney and Vice Presidential nominee Paul Ryan’s wife, Janna.
"I'd totes dip a pinky or two in Paul Ryan's wife's bleached asshole (she obvs bleaches her asshole.) #RNC” read one Biggs tweet from Aug. 29.
On Sept. 1, @TMNTMaster, the account used to promote Nickelodeon's Turtles reboot, encouraged followers to check out Biggs’ account. (By that time, Biggs had deleted the RNC tweets, which have been preserved here.)
It's a move the children's network apologized for Wednesday.
“Nickelodeon does not support or condone the use of graphic or vulgar language on any of our platforms,” the network said in a statement. “It was our mistake to link from our Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles twitter feed to Jason’s personal twitter account, and we quickly corrected our error. We also insisted Jason use better judgment and discretion in public communications while affiliated with our brand.”
Fox News host Megyn Kelly called Biggs a “disgusting pig” Wednesday and questioned why Nickelodeon continued to employ him.
“Does that do it? It’s not like he made one comment that he can dial back,” she said of the apology on air.
Twitchy, a Twitter curation site founded by conservative commentator Michelle Malkin, questioned the wisdom of linking to Biggs' account by displaying some off-color tweets the actor made in recent weeks.
Meanwhile, @TMNTMaster continues to link to tamer Twitter accounts belonging to other Turtles stars, including Sean Astin.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is set to premiere Sept. 29.

But it's extremely offensive to reduce these women what he'd do to them sexually. Sexualizing them is not the answer, dude. Stfu.
But then he has a few glasses of wine and all he can talk about are the most scandalous shit.
i feel that way about just about ANY criticism of a woman's appearance or sexuality, though. if someone is a crappy person, they are a crappy person independent of these superficial things and we can (relevantly) criticize them for their shitty actions or question their beliefs instead.
