Marie Claire's Great Britain Fashion Shoot

Marie Claire has partnered with This is GREAT Britain to shoot the UK’s brightest stars in London’s most historic locations, from Karen Gillan at Number 10 Downing Street to Bonnie Wright in Westminster Abbey.

The fabulous fashion shoot also features actresses Helen McCrory, Ophelia Lovibond, Eleanor Tomlinson, Antonia Thomas, Oona Chaplin, Downton Abbey’s new stars Lily James and Joanna Froggatt.

Marie Claire's fashion team were ridiculously excited to be allowed exclusive access to 10 Downing Street, Westminster Abbey, the Foreign Office, Hyde Park Barracks and Lancaster House.

As editor-in-chief Trish Halpin says, 'To be the first fashion magazine granted access to these amazing London landmarks was a real honour.'

'Along with the fabulous line up of acting talent the shoot shows just how much Great Britain has to be proud of!'

lol wait. Bonnie Wright?

That girl has the fashion sense of an 80 year old grandma
heartina_cage 5th-Sep-2012 07:47 am (UTC)
That's a thing. Look at Florence Welch, bless her heart.
cuteej4 5th-Sep-2012 07:48 am (UTC)
Florence Welch can pull it off and she looks good. It makes Bonnie Wright look frumpy and old
shahoney 5th-Sep-2012 11:01 am (UTC)
She's a hit or miss type. I love her clothes sometimes when it looks classy and vintage-y. But sometimes she dresses like an 80-year-old grandma.

get an oyster card (for travel). much cheaper than buying a ticket everytime
parker_hallie 5th-Sep-2012 12:26 pm (UTC)
get sensible walking shoes

su20 5th-Sep-2012 01:58 pm (UTC)
i second the walking shoes point also...carry an umbrella most of the time.

and plan your journeys on transport in advance and give yourself between 30mins to an hour leeway.
godrevypoint 5th-Sep-2012 03:25 pm (UTC)
first thing OYSTER CARD! you cant survive without one...also not sure where you're moving from, but just be aware that it might seem like traveling 10 miles shouldn't take long, but it will take you ages. from city centre to watford junction for example took me 2 hours one time.

knightsbridge or covent garden for shopping, avoid picadilly at all costs, take naps in hyde park, never take a cab or double decker, and have sososo much fun!! :) most everyone is friendly so don't be afraid of the people!
sk8terac 5th-Sep-2012 04:12 pm (UTC)
I second everything being said here, you will be doing a lot of walking. Forget heels on a night out if you're not bringing flats/ taking a cab. Install a tube map app on your phone just in case because that is going to be a life saver. Get your rail card attached to your oyster because it will save you money if you're travelling per say to Zone 6. If you're on a budget, most places in central London is within walking distance, don't be fooled by the tube map! Small cafes (and trust me there are loads in London) give me life. Have fun! I miss it there.

Also I've always wanted to comment on your excellent icon + username combo.

I don't really get the fuss about Karen but I'm not a Who fan anymore, so that's probably why
