Nicole Scherzinger could only look on in horror as her Formula One driver boyfriend became involved in a dramatic four-car pile-up just seconds in to the Belgian Grand Prix
She's a devoted girlfriend who goes to see her Formula One driver beau in action whenever her busy schedule permits it.
But Nicole Scherzinger got more than she bargained for yesterday (Sunday) when she watched Lewis Hamilton crash out of the Belgian Grand Prix just seconds in to the race.
The McLaren star's dreams of success came to an abrupt end when he became involved in a dramatic four-car pile-up on the very first corner of the track.
And the X Factor judge could only look on in horror as she watched her boyfriend's car propelled in to the air and smash into tiny fragments.
The fear in the eyes of the 34-year-old singer was unmistakeable as she looked on in disbelief from the safety of the stands.
Although initially visibly shaken, Nicole closed her eyes in relief as she watched the 27-year-old sportsman safely walk away from the wreckage of the vehicle.
Prior to the disastrous race - eventually won by Hamilton's McLaren team-mate Jenson Button - both Lewis and Nicole seemed to be in good spirts, posting pictures of themselves together on their respective Twitter pages.
The former Pussycat Dolls singer said: 'In Belgium for the Grand Prix to support my man @LewisHamilton for his race this wkend:).'
And Nicole was on hand to guide her man in the wake of the dramatic crash.
Following the incident, she tweeted: 'We love and support you to the end babe...@LewisHamilton.'
Meanwhile, the Formula One star's mood was more reflective as he looked forward to the next Grand Prix in Monza, Italy.
He said: 'Sometimes, bad days are there to remind us that we have good ones to look forward to. So here's to Monza! Onto the next one...'
The dramatic crash occurred when the drivers made their way around the tight La Source hairpin just seconds into the race.
Squeezed by Romain Grosjean, Hamilton was left with nowhere to go, and as their wheels touched Grosjean was launched off the back of Sebastian Perez’s Sauber before coming crashing down on the nose of Fernando Alonso’s Ferrari.
Lotus driver Grosjean was later handed a one-race ban and a £40,000 fine for his involvement in the horror smash.
Asked directly who was to blame, Lewis later said: 'It doesn’t really matter, what happened is in the past, we have to move forward. Tomorrow is a new day and I just look forward to the future.
'I look forward to getting home and putting this race behind us. In fact the whole week has been a tough one.'
Hamilton currently stands in fifth position in the FIA Formula One World Championship rankings.

i probably would have had my knees go out from under me
like when Kaya Scodelario saw her boyf get shanked or something outside of court:
Doesn't she know you can find a new one?
I would have a hard time even watching him play contact sports or extreme sports. Like omg, babe, you're going to break a limb, then I'd have to hear that noise in my head for the rest of my life. Ideg how he can watch me play derby, ffs.
them glasses
Edit: Which is not to say that I'm accusing you of insensitivity. I'm just saying that... oh, fuck I really can't win with this one, can I?
