Kelly Overton to Guest Star on Beauty & the Beast + promotional pics


True Blood’s Kelly Overton was seen in True Blood’s season 5 as Rikki the werewolf who could more than match Joe Manganiello’s Alcide.  Now, she is to guest star on the tv show, Beauty & The Beast. She will be in the fourth episode, and the role is potentially recurring.


Kelly will play Claire, an intelligent and extremely athletic doctoral student who hits it off with medical examiner Evan (Max Brown) after they meet online.


The CW series, based loosely on the 1987 CBS drama, stars Smallville alum Kristin Kreuk as Catherine Chandler, a cop who witnessed her mother’s death years prior. Turns out Cat was saved from her mother’s gunmen by Vincent Keller (Jay Ryan), a doctor-turned-soldier who was transformed into a beast after a faulty military medical experiment.


Also appearing in the new CW series is Jeremy Glazer, who will play a med student named Michael whose fiancé has gone missing.

Beauty and the Beast premieres on Thursday, Oct. 11 at 9/8c on The CW.

Hopefully figures itself out after the pilot. As bad as it sounds from the pilot as long as its a procedural and chills on the melodrama it'll find a small audience and that's all they need.

But ugh@putting all that faith on Sounders and Kelly to take the reigns.

Well he "Beasts out" but yeah I cant believe CW thought they could get away with this...SNL and all internet sketch shows can thank them for their easiest skit yet.

This show is pissing me off. The guy isn't even remotely unattractive or scary looking or beastly as The Beast.

Way to give people with some facial hair a complex if his "Beast" is supposed to be soooo scary. Ugh.

He turns into a Beast, its some incredible Hulk/Werewolf thing. Although even in the preview it didnt look that convincing.

I'm just hoping it focuses on Kristin's character doing detective. Which doesnt scream tv worthy either but as a fan of hers and supporter of POC on tv more I want to see more of the supporting cast develop. Hopefully they figure it out even if the pilot and premise seems like a disaster. I dont want to see her get hated on another project...

I feel that way too but its the head of the network's shitty idea. So he'll probably give it a season, but honestly they need to fix the whole shit up. But it could seriously get under a million viewers each week....

wtf is this show tho. is it a remake or something? ngl I'm hella wary of anything the CW comes up. TSC was so shitty it's a miracle I made it halfway through (and need to finish it just so I can get it done and over with). either I'll give it a go, why not.

I'd probably wait until like 5th episode to get into it (if it makes it that far) The pilot was looking and sounding like a disaster but I have the slight hope that maybe just maybe in can be an average ass cop procedural show for the CW which is all the upside I can hope for...sigh...
