and before that she was on a tv show with hayden christensen and the chick werewolf (meghan ory) from once upon a time. i think it was called higher ground. ah memories
I'm watching ION right now, and despite the fact that I love Criminal Minds, the commercials for the show - they're showing the same one over and over again each commercial break (or at least it seems like it) are driving me nuts, tbh.
The lineups were nuts. I didn't get into the Alan Tudyk panel because of the lines, but I did get to see James Marsters and Juliet Landau so that was ok.
I decided not to go today. After hearing about the usual lineup clusterfucks and the insanity that was the Criminal Minds autograph session, I'm glad I stayed home.
All they needed to fix the lineups were some ropes. They made us all stand in a bunch of rows outside the door then anyone else who didn't fit had to mill around in the back being bounced around and would probably not make it in. It was really horrible. There were also a lot of line cutters (The person in front of us turned into seven people. I called them on it then they said they'd take the high road by not arguing.... what?)
However, there was no line at the John Barrowman autograph session so that was nice :)
James and Juliet were really good. You could tell they really liked each other and there were some good questions asked. James went on a whole tangent about the Spike tv movie he wanted to make, and told us the entire plot for it/a new comic lol.
Yeah, the line issues were awful. Like you said, ropes were really needed. :/
I thought that the autograph lines were pretty well done though. The whole numbers under x thing really helped keep the lines down.
I got my Alan Tudyk autograph right near the end of the day when there wasn't really anyone around and it was fabulous because we got to chat for a bit <3
But that will cost them money. and we cant have that.
(I have lots of feels about how badly FanExpo is run every year)
I'm going tomorrow to photograph Barrowman's panel for my friends website. Hopefully will get into Gillian Anderson's panel as well (SCULLY!!!!!) Anything on top of that I'm considering a bonus.
So happy that James & Juliet's panel was fun! I adored them on Buffy. James is always hilarious (I try to ignore the squickfactor of him writing that song for Michelle Tractenberg)
Ugh, I missed Alan Tudyk's panel as well. We stood in line, then they didn't let anyone else join the line so we were all 'Hmm, they must have done a head count, excellent!' but the cut off ended up being about 20 or so people ahead of us (which we didn't find out until we went to go in) :/. Basically my entire day was spent in LINES :(
Oh noooo! We were shuffled to the back beside the down escalator which we assumed was a line. NOPE.
The hall was really small so I had assumed more than like, 100 people would get in :(
My day was in lines too. We were in a line for over an hour for tickets and then at the bottom of the line, they then decided to try and separate us into debit and cash. People were mad.
It just gets worse and worse every year :(. They need to learn how to do head counts and actually communicate. I mean, I wouldn't be really pissed about not getting into Q&As if I had been told 'Alright, everyone past here we can't guarantee getting in.'.
The way they handled the photo ops were shitty as well. There were about 3 people for EVERYONE buying ops, and when you went to pick them up it was again, about 3 people, shuffling through every picture (sorted by celeb guest, at least), until they found yours.
ngl, I lost interest in this show but I still watch the crap out of the old episodes on ion television. I'm glad I got to meet them at the height of my obsession though.
I met MGG @ San Diego comic con a few years ago. He was just on the floor with a friend and so I got the chance to talk to him/pictures. He was very sweet.
Can't wait for next season of Criminal Minds. Sounds pretty interesting.

"or we can bring the lawyers in here. IS THAT WHAT YOU WANT??"

How was James and Juliet?
