Geena Davis talks about A&E's 'Coma', produced by Ridley Scott

KUSA - Oscar Winner Geena Davis was a guest on NBC's Today Show and 9NEWS at 8 a.m.

Davis told 9NEWS about her upcoming thriller on A&E. "Coma" is about a young doctor who discovers that something sinister is going on in her hospital, after healthy patients fall into comas on the operating table.

Davis talked about reuniting with Oscar winning collaborator Ridley Scott, who she worked with on "Thelma & Louise."

Davis is famous for many roles, ranging from "Tootsie" and "Beetlejuice" to "Stuart Little" and "A League of Their Own."

"COMA" premieres Labor Day at 7 p.m. on A&E.

They remade Coma? The original was cheesy but it was still pretty decent.

Oh, man. I remember getting "caught" reading the original Robin Cook novel, sometime in the early '80's. My mother was less concerned with the actual criminal-torture-research aspect than the fact that the heroine took birth control! (used by Robin Cook as a way to show how socially liberated his character was.) And invited men sexually! (Mom's words.)

I may have to see this if only for the nostalgia. With my mother.

my mom was the same exact way...she had tons of robin cook, john saul, and mary higgins clark books but she said she was hesitant to share them w/ me because she thought they were too "sexy" even though i was a senior in h.s. and there was no sex at all in any of them (i know cause i looked really hard lololol)

Really? Was this writer too stupid or lazy to remember "Thelma and Louise, Accidental Tourist and The Long Kiss Goodnight"?

Loved the book and remember the 80s movie. It will be interesting to see how they update the science.

Sadly the politics are still the same.

And Geena Davis is so bad ass. Mensa member and almost-Olympian? That's someone worth stanning over, tbh.
