I know the letter looks fake and all, but if you remember, she also wrote a letter to McDonald's as a PETA representative and that letter was written in the same letterhead stationery

The hypocrisy is nagl. The fur coat is ugly, even... fur coats look tacky in general.

Oh, stawp. Vegetarians and vegans who are super radical about animal rights and are relentless in shoving their lifestyle down everyone's throats, aggravate me so much. Live and let live! I mean, if someone wants to wear fur, I really dgaf. Shit looks tacky as hell, anyway.

My dad and I went to a family friend's ranch and shot our own turkey with an arrow, and then prepared our thanksgiving bird to make it look like what you can buy wrapped up in a grocery store. I went thinking it was going to ~change my life~ and turn me into a vegan, but it didn't change me or upset me at all. IT just sort of died. I'm not enthusiastic about preparing the animal myself I'll probably never do it again because turkeys are heavy and I know nothing about hunting, but the bird was delicious that night.

I think I'm more into animal welfare versus animal rights, in terms of what is realistic and achievable. My own animals, on the other hand, live like kings.

I have no idea if this is legit, but PETA is definitely after Gaga. Legit letter from them posted on their own blog, so I'm leaning towards this being real (or Ke$ha at least contacting her):

PETA is shit and Ke$ha has done iffy shit too but I gotta admit this is a good letter. I really do hope Gaga will reconsider -- not just on fur, but on other animal products too, using synthetics when possible.
