Rashida Jones has apologized for a comment that she made implying that John Travolta is gay and needs to come out of the closet.
In an interview with Spinning Platters to promote her new movie Celeste and Jesse Forever, the 36-year-old actress discussed Frank Ocean‘s coming out and voiced her hope that a major movie star would come out next.
“A movie star. Like John Travolta? Come out! Come on. How many masseurs have to come forward? Let’s do this,” she said.
Rashida took to her Twitter account to apologize for the comment: “Made a thoughtless comment about John Travolta. I sincerely apologize. Nobody’s personal life is my business,” she wrote.

Travolta's in a different boat due to his Scientology devotion (including other radical religions) demean homosexuality and he's just adding to it. For that I have zero sympathy for him and he deserves to be outed in the most horrific way possible.
I zero tolerance for celebs that have fame and fortune by shaming the LGB community while they are in the closet. It sends an incredibly dangerous message to the world that Homosexuality is an abomination. It just compounds everything.
This was why producers such as Rob Epstein was so furious at these celebrities and why he made his documentary.
I have specifically said CRUISE AND TRAVOLTA ONLY! This situation pertains only to those two maggots that have for yeeeeeeeears! Shamed the LGB community.
