A new greatest hits package featuring songs spanning Whitney Houston's entire career is in the works.
According to recent reports, the set will be the first to feature not dance mixes, but original cuts of her hits.
Due as early as this Fall, the set will be the first to be released since her original "Hits" package arrived in 2000. To date, that set has sold 2.6 million copies in the U.S. alone.
While a track list has not yet been revealed, this may be the first set to include songs from her last album "I Look To You." With songs like "Million Dollar Bill" and "I Didn't Know My Own Strength," the album featured contributions from R. Kelly, Dianne Warren and Alicia Keys.
"Houston notched 39 hit singles on the Billboard Hot 100, with 23 of those reaching the top 10," Billboard reports. "Of those, a whopping 11 went to No. 1, including "How Will I Know," "I Will Always Love You" and "Exhale (Shoop Shoop)." Her most recent Hot 100 hit was 2009's "Million Dollar Bill," which peaked at No. 100. (Though it climbed to No. 1 on the Dance Club/Play Songs chart, in part thanks to the popularity of a remix by the Freemasons.)"
In related news, Houston can be seen in her final film role soon. 'Sparkle,' the anticipated movie she not only starred in, but executive produced, opens August 17.

was listening to it a few days before she died
my whitney jam for the last few months has been this flawless single:
and
all at once
you give good love
saving all my love
how will i know
greatest love of all
i wanna dance with somebody
didn't we almost have it all
so emotional
where do broken hearts go
love will save the day
one moment in time
i'm your baby tonight
all the man that i need
star spangled banner
i will always love you
i'm every woman
i have nothing
run to you
queen of the night
exhale
i believe in you and me
step by step
when you believe
heartbreak hotel
it's not right but it's okay
my love is your love
i learned from the best
could i have this kiss forever
if i told you that
whatchulookinat
try it on my own
i look to you
million dollar bill
didn't know my own strength
or me no curr
miss you kween nippy <3
ugh her voice was so bright, so crisp, so luxurious
I'd rather have new mixes.
Or maybe if they remastered the old songs.
i want a live album/dvd from the bodyguard tour
