The truth is out there: David Duchovny denies dating former X-Files co-star Gillian Anderson
A spokesman for David Duchovny has denied reports he's dating former X-Files co-star Gillian Anderson.
The actors, who shared the small screen on the hit 90s sci-fi series, were said to have quietly moved into a shared home in Los Angeles in the wake of her split from longterm partner Mark Griffiths.
But fans of the hit show can now breathe easy after the actor's representative confirmed rumours of a romance were completely untrue.
However, Celebuzz reports Duchovny's spokesman has unequivocally denied the story.
Anderson and Duchovy worked together on the X-Files between 1993-2002 and reunited for a movie version of the series in 2008.
The actor's spokesman says they remain close friends. Anderson has suffered heartbreak in the past.
She married X-Files assistant art director Clyde Klotz on New Years Day 1994 in a Buddhist ceremony on the 17th hole of a golf course in Hawaii.
They also had a daughter Piper Maru together in September that year but would divorce three years later in 1997.
The Last King of Scotland star was also married to documentary maker Julian Ozanne for two years before parting ways in 2006.
Duchovny meanwhile married Tea Leoni in 1997. The former couple, who share two children, was divorced in 2009 and briefly resumed their romance before finally calling it quits last year.

Gillian is becoming more and more beautiful with age tbh.
I guess it's not as crazy as some celebrity baby names, but that's such a random choice for little kids.
I never watched x-files when it was on and I'm just now working my way through and then all these posts start about them. Spooky.
OT: My friend from high school (whom I used to watch XF with every week) now has two kids, and she named them Fox and Piper. Yep.
