What's sick/bizarre is that the women I know who have done this/had their mothers do that to them have never been overweight at all to begin with. Like yeah, the daughter may be eating more/more often than others, but obviously the metabolism/exercise is balancing it out. idk if that's your case but I find it really fucking crazy that all the people I've met who have experienced this have never been in a position to be concerned about eating too much in the first place.
