"You better redneck-ognize!" - Honey Boo Boo and Mama get interviewed by CNN


The popular reality TV show "Toddlers in Tiaras" follows the controversial world of child beauty pageants, highlighting the lengths young girls and their families will go to in order to win crowns and titles.

One of the show's breakout stars is six-year-old pageant contestant Alana Thompson, or "Honey Boo Boo." Alana's well-known for her outrageous sayings and her hyperactive outbursts after drinking a beverage her family has deemed "go-go juice."

Alana is now the star of her own reality show on TLC called "Here Comes Honey Boo Boo." The show, which premieres tomorrow at 10pm ET, features the entire Thompson family at home in rural Georgia.

On Starting Point this morning, "Honey Boo Boo" and her mom June sit down to discuss her new show and to respond to critics of young girls in pageants.

Admit it. How many of you will be watching this tomorrow night? Apparently they have a promo out now that revolves around them going on a family outing to bid on expired cookies at an auction but I haven't found it online yet.

i got bills to pay. i'd watch it for a fee. maybe to the tune of i dunno a thousand per episode. then i'd only watch one episode and pay off my credit card bill and be like SEE YA BITCHES.

The thing I don't get is that the mother is 32, the dad is like 40 or something (so 8 years older) and she got pregnant with her oldest kid when she was 14-15. Wtf was a 22 year old doing with a 14-15 year old.

It's Georgia. The age of consent was 14 until 1995. It's possible it was even legal, which is no less gross but yeah.

Yea, I saw how old she was and the age difference and wondered when she had the first kid, because her older ones looked older than they are to me :/
