Monica Discusses Her New Look, Lil Rock's 1st B-day Party, Album Title Change
Monica called me yesterday. It seems a sig that I found on a fansite and posted on my site Monday was being mistaken for the album cover from Monica's forthcoming album and was being posted on message boards. Monica said she hadn't seen the sig before execs from J Records called her and told her the fake cover had originated from my site. My apologies to Monica and J Records for the confusion.
But that wasn't the only reason she called. Monica, who's been working out with a personal trainer 4 times a week, has a bold new look to go with the new title of her upcoming album: RAW. The decision was made to change the album title from "Street Butterfly" to "Raw" because there were no tracks on the album titled "Street Butterfly". The original title was a poem she had written.
"Raw" is slated for a Summer release. Meanwhile, Monica confirmed that a new track which was leaked last weekend by a local DJ is on her new album. She said "Beat Drop", a snap song which incorporates the "Grillz" beat, was made for the kids. She wanted to give the kids a Summer anthem. She wasn't upset about the leak at all.
Monica also talked about her son Lil Rock's 1st birthday party this past Saturday (his actual birthday was Sunday, May 21). The party was held at the home of her Uncle Anthony who owns a horse ranch. 200 family members (including Rocko's great-great grandparents) & friends flew in for the celebration. The children especially enjoyed the pony rides. Monica said the pics from the party weren't ready yet but she would try to send a couple for me to post so check back.

She has looked ugly, ever since she had the baby. I still love her, though. I hope the album is good.
