"People like to build their own story about my life," he told NOW magazine. "I don't know if it makes them feel better, or if it makes it okay for them to not like me, but the last thing I grew up as was rich.
"I had rich friends, but they weren't giving me their money. I'm just not the type of guy to go, 'No, no, no, I'm not rich'. People can say whatever they want about me, though. If they really want to learn them, the facts are out there.
"But I guess it's easier on their hearts if I didn't have to struggle, and makes it easier to not like me. It is what it is."
Drake previously mentioned in the past how his mother "didn't have much money".
He revealed that the concept of his music video for 'HYFR' was inspired by being too poor as a child to throw a proper Bar Mitzvah party.
"When I had a Bar Mitzvah back in the day, my mom really didn't have that much money," he shared. "We kinda just did it in the basement of an Italian restaurant, which I guess is kinda like a faux pas.

I'm not saying that's what his family's situation was, but like...my family lives in a decent neighbourhood where EVERYONE is super rich (except us lol) and we struggle, but if my college fees didn't include health coverage my medication and my sister's combined would leave us pretty fucked.
like you said, this kid was on a tv show since he was like 12
Then on his "When I Was 17.." thing a few years ago he talked about spending all sorts of money on basekball memorabilia on ebay when he was a teenager. He never mentioned dropping out of high school in that show. Wasn;t he still doing Degrassi when he would have been of graduating age anyways?
This kid is full of it. He was still doing Degrassi when his rap career started off (he did Degrassi podcasts talking about working with Lil Wayne), so it's not like he even had a period in between where things got bad.
He got at least 5,000 per episode.
I would like to play a game of musical chairs with this fool but I'll let him win because HE NEEDS TO HAVE A SEAT
i was imagining donald saying it
