Spice Girls 'Rehearsing For Olympic Closing Ceremony'

The Spice Girls are allegedly rehearsing for the London 2012 Olympic Games closing ceremony today (2nd August), Digital Spy reports.

According to Sunday Mirror columnist Dean Piper, Victoria Beckham, Geri Halliwell, Mel B, Emma Bunton and Mel C are working on their live set, adding to speculation that the girlband are reuniting to mark the end of the sporting event.

Earlier this afternoon, Piper tweeted: "So the Spice Girls are all together rehearsing for the Olympics RIGHT NOW in London.#itsonb*tches."

He later added: "Pretty bloody exciting! #spicegirls. I'd like a Spice medley!!! No idea what they're singing..."

Posh Spice has also fuelled the rumours by posting a picture of the sparkly gold microphone she used for the Spice Girls reunion tour in 2007, accompanying the snap with the comment: "Look what I found!! X vb".

The news comes after VB reportedly agreed to perform at the ceremony, on the provision that it will be their last ever show.

The girls recently reunited in London to promote musical Viva Forever!, which is based on some of their most famous songs.

As well as the Spice Girls, the likes of One Direction, Take That and Queen will also reportedly perform at the Olympic closing ceremony on 12th August.

will never & cant ever get over that non-release of their reunion tour DVD. I will only watch to support VB, because my Spice Girls staning was forever tarnished post 2008.

THIS exactly. I still complain about it to this day. I was able to go to their show on Long Island, but I still wanted a DVD to relive the memories.

Your comment reminds me of this YouTube video an upset fan made, which edited the official announcement video concerning their 'Global' stops. It resulted in Mel C just repeating "London, London, London" so funny, I cant find it now though. :(
