Vanity Fair’s International Best-Dressed List

models, royals, queen diane on vanity fair's 2012 best dressed list


The Duchess of Cambridge has been voted one of Vanity Fair’s most stylish stars of 2012.
This may come as a surprise to many of you since you, like me, haven’t been that excited about a look from the Duchess since her wedding dress, her Jenny Packham gown from earlier this year or none of the above.
Catherine gets a cover to celebrate her Best Dressed status (quelle surprise) as does the charming Jessica Chastain who can also be a tad inconsistent on the red carpet.
You’ll be pleased to know that Diane Kruger, Lea Seydoux, Sheikha Moza Bint Nasser of Qatar, H.R.H Crown Princess Mary of Denmark, Charlotte Casiraghi, Princess Alexandra of Greece, Fan Bingbing, Ulyana Sergeenko, Poppy Delevigne and fashion model Elettra Wiedemann made the list.
Jay-Z, Tom Brady, Prince Harry and Eddie Redmayne get well-deserved spots on the list, with the head scratcher being Alicia Keys.

kate was an obvs. inclusion, but she really only wowed me in that blue jenny packham (?) and that velvet dress, tbh. bowing @ the light of queen diane forever and ever, amen.

I love the fact that Vanity fair dedicates a whole issue to best dressed. It's very People magazine of them.

I can't believe people think Kate Middleton has good style, she's so boring, like yea she's put together and not a mess but wearing put together outfits does not equal great style.

But you don't have to dress sexy to have great style, she's just all around really bland, even if she weren't married to who she is married to I'm sure she'd have bad style.

but in comparison to other princesses around the world, she ain't shit

but then again other princesses get to wear better and more fun designers, she is limited to only british designers

I don't know I guess maybe I have lower expectations for good style

like I've seen several comments about Olivia Palermo saying she always looks like she bought an entire outfit off of a store mannequin, and I don't think there's anything wrong with that she always looks great, and so does Kate

I've liked a few of her dresses. I don't think she's an icon, but for a royal public figure I enjoy her style. Very classy and romantic.

I think it's that they just have the website set as super wide and you have to scroll left. I had to manually go to page 2-5 but eventually it showed up.

kate's only "boring" because she gets dragged through the press. that teal jenny packham dress? i loved it but the press was like THAT'S WAY TOO SEXY DFJSJGKHDKGHF!! she has to dress almost boring because anything than that gets her criticized. she kind of can't win so i'm just looking at the positives. she dresses well and seems like a lovely woman. :)
