Tiffani Thiessen Reveals She Lost Her Virginity At 14 To Her Older 19 Year Old Boyfriend!!!

Tiffani Thiessen went on the Howard Stern Show this morning to promote the 4th season of USA’s White Collar, and passed along two rather noteworthy bits of information

(1) She lost her virginity at age 14, and (2) The guy she lost it to was her 19-YEAR-OLD BOYFRIEND, with whom she had a FIVE YEAR RELATIONSHIP.

I would like to bring up one point: SHE PULLED A REAL LIFE KAPOWSKI. Kelly was always ending up with older creeps on the show, most notably (a) the infuriatingly-coiffed diner manager Jeff, who dated his high school student employee despite being old enough to legally drink alcohol at The Attic, and (b) the noted dipshit weasel lawyer Brian Hanson, who wooed a rising high school senior during her vacation to Hawaii even though he had already finished law school and earned enough money to afford both a Porsche and sweet yacht.

Anyway, the clip of Tiffani Thiessen discussing all of that is below. If there’s one thing we can all be sure of, it’s that the 19-year-old dude who started a five year long sexual relationship with a 14-year-old way back when is a healthy and well-adjusted adult today.

I remember my ex defending a relationship between a 14 year old and a 19 year old.

Barring the legalities - honestly, what the fuck would they have in common? I'm 23 and I can't imagine dating under 22.

idk when i was 19 i dated a 29 year old for a little bit and we actually had a lot in common to talk about..
drunkenchipmunk 31st-Jul-2012 08:41 am (UTC)
I'm with you regarding my own feelings, but I had a teenage friend who went out with an older guy and they basically got along because they were both square - she couldn't drink and he didn't want to. They were both raised on a farm. We lost touch but I think they're even married now. It's not usual for a 14 year old to have something in common with a 19 year old, but it's not impossible either.
pon_pon_pink 31st-Jul-2012 09:05 am (UTC)
my longest relationship started when i was 15 with a 22 year old. we had really long talks at night and beautiful midnight walks along a river.

mari_lyn00 31st-Jul-2012 10:28 am (UTC)
i was 14 when my boyfriend was 18, which he later turned 19 when i was 15, and we started dating when i was 13 and he was 17. what did we have in common? i really couldn't tell you, other than we had a lot of the same friends, hung out a lot (mostly me hanging out while he got high) and we were just attracted to each other, i guess.

granted no one could tell our age difference, and i will never forget the look his mother gave him when i finally told her my age.
hoot 31st-Jul-2012 12:19 pm (UTC)
I recently found out that this guy I know (we're definitely not friends, but his girlfriend is a lovely person and basically the only reason I deal with him at this point) dated a 13 year old when he was 20. However based on what I know about that guy the 13 year old was probably more grown up than he is.
xdecadentx 31st-Jul-2012 12:54 pm (UTC)
A couple of my friends at 14 were dating guys over 18, at the time I didn't think much of it, in retrospect it's weird as.
gypsy_leerose 31st-Jul-2012 01:07 pm (UTC)

msloserrific 31st-Jul-2012 01:23 pm (UTC)
It's weird as fuck. I remember being 14 and having friends brag about the 19-22 year olds who hung out with them at the skate rink. Even at 14 I wondered what kind of guy hung out at a skate rink with people barely out of middle school.

When you're young you think you must be super ~mature and cool, but really, there's usually just something weird about that guy that he isn't into and/or can't attract women around his own age. Or he's terribly immature.
sgmajorshipper 31st-Jul-2012 01:47 pm (UTC)
There are some 14 year olds who are as mature or more mature than some 19 year olds and therefore share similar interests. I mean, IDK. It depends on the people involved. A lot of the time it's a bit skeevy, but not 100% of the time.
in_styles 31st-Jul-2012 03:13 pm (UTC)

My now husband was 19/20 when we started dating, and I was 15.

I had been partying since I was 11. I had gone to college parties. I wasn't a virgin and had been with more people than my boyfriend (now husband). Physically, people pegged me at about 20 when they met me. We were probably at the same maturity level, but HE could just live on his own and was going to college.

So, in MOST cases... I don't see how it could work. But in ours, it did.

As for as common interests--we both loved metal and we would go to concerts. We had the same friends and would hang out with them. We would go to parties and drink since that was a common interest. We both were in school (him college, I was in HS) so we would study together and work on schooling (my grades got better after dating him). He got me into gaming, like he enjoys...

cathaea 1st-Aug-2012 05:15 pm (UTC)
Holy crap, the moral police are out in force today. Every person and relationship is different. My first serious relationship when I was 14 was with a 19 year old, we dated until I was 21 and he is still my best friend. If it's a consensual relationship--which obviously it was--who the fuck cares? I respect the age of consent for what it's meant for -- to protect young kids from older, potentially predatory people but honestly, an 18 year old being into a 15 and 9 months old girl doesn't necessarily make him a sexual offender as the law in Cali dictates.
hola_meg_a_cola 2nd-Aug-2012 05:41 pm (UTC)
I was freshly 18 years-old when I started dating my then 26/27 year old boyfriend. My parents were not pleased in the fucking least. We were together for five and a half years until I broke up with him earlier this year. It became quite obvious that while I was maturing, he wasn't and I had enough (moving to the other side of the world helped.)

I will never date someone that much older than me again. My cap is five years.
dumpweeds 31st-Jul-2012 05:27 am (UTC)

My mom and dated are 8 years apart and they first dated when my mom was 14, so my dad was ....22. o_o

But literally the ONLY reason this was somehow not so bad is because they're Filipino, devout Catholics and literally nothing sexual could have ever happened at that point. Their families were tight and so all was good.

Even then, they decided they were too young and went their separate ways. They met again when my mom was 25 and rekindled their love, and they've been married for 20 years.

Not that they would EVER let me date someone 8 years older than me. Hypocrites lol
hoot 31st-Jul-2012 12:20 pm (UTC)
If they were 20 and 25 that would be one thing, but 14 is basically still a child and 19 is an adult. I think most people mature an insane amount between 14 and 19.

ava_adore0 31st-Jul-2012 05:35 am (UTC)
Yeah idk if it's desperateness but that always seems to be the case with age differences like 14/19, women think it's weird and guys think it's cool (generally speaking, I know not EVERY guy thinks that way).
And then 14 year old girls just think it's a sign of their maturity to date a 19 year old boy and bring up the "girls mature faster than boys!!" thing whenever they can. Then 5 years later when they're 19 they think their peers who're dating 14 year olds are losers.
chokey_lowkey 31st-Jul-2012 05:36 am (UTC)

It's kind of strange how a 19-year-old guy with a 14-year-old girl is so shocking, but it's even worse if it were older girl/younger guy.

But that didn't stop my 18-year-old friend sleeping with TWO 14-year-old boys, who were apparently extremely well-endowed. wt actual f. And then a 30-year-old man. After she and her long term bf broke she was all over the place. nagl

ikr. My cousin/neighbour just turned twelve a few months ago and she seems like such a little girl to me. I even get freaked out when I think of myself at her age. I was shocked when I found out her mom dropped her and her friends off at the cinema to watch The Hunger Games alone, despite me at 12 was watching Halloween and Childs Play movies relgiously. idk if it's some rose coloured glasses thing I have going on now that I'm older but she seems so innocent and naive to me that I could never picture the kind of conversations and actions coming from her as 12/13 year olds have been portrayed to be like (and I was like myself). Kids at that age seriously live double lives.
mari_lyn00 31st-Jul-2012 10:31 am (UTC)
my niece is also 13! i thought i would be more freaked out by now, because i know what i was up to at 13, but she's such a child compared to how i was. thank god she's taking her time in developing.

There's only a three year difference in the manga; I think the director wanted Mamoru to look as skeezy as possible.

he was still in hs (a junior?) and not in college in the manga but they were a bit too cosy for my tastes in the manga... yes, she was less stupid in the manga but still 14
