Well, I had an amazing weekend with my friends. Every year, we hold a fancy dress party where we all dress to the nines, go out to eat somewhere obscenely expensive, then congregate at one of our houses/apartments for the afterparty. This year's was fantastic.

Aww, that sounds so nice! My friends and I do something similar around the holidays - like a 'family dinner' type thing since we all go our separate ways for Christmas or whatever.

We went to a new sushi place downtown. It was really nice. Our waiter was cool and I ordered baby octopi skewers.

I went to my 10 year high school class reunion on Saturday.

First of all, it was ridiculous and pleasantly awkward. Everyone was hugging, I got to have a "heart to heart" with my arch nemesis while we were both drunk. "Can I ask you something?" "I'm too drunk to lie to you, go ahead and ask me!" It was straight out of a made-for-tv movie.

Anyone who isn't sure if they want to go to theirs, don't be a dick, go to your reunions.

Oh I didn't ask, he was asking me. I was half expecting him to say "Did you have a crush on me" because I felt a trolling moment, it was not that.

He asked me if I tattled on him our senior year for being drunk at a football game. I was like "ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME? WHY WOULD I DO THAT?!"

I didn't go to my reunion because I currently live in a different country to where I went to school, but judging by my friends account, it would have been a huge waste of time and money.

My 20th reunion? Maybe, but... probably not.

I never went to my 5 year one. They did it around a holiday so hardly any people attended. My friend went and said most of the people there were super drunk and acted like fools.

It was awesome - saw TDKR for the second time, cooked a ton of delicious food (farro is my new favourite thing) and finalized a trip to Italy in September!

Holy crap that seems like a lot of posts!

Some of my plans ended up getting cancelled which kind of sucked. My mom's birthday was over the weekend though so we went out for a family dinner and what not. I also finally saw The Dark Knight Rises yesterday. There were two babies that were pretty much dueling crying/shrieking the entire thing and a a little kid that kept running from the front of the screen to the back wall and laughing. I'm going to need to see it again because I missed like half of Bane's dialogue because of that on top of the fact that he was kind of hard to understand to begin with.

I liked it though! Anne was flawless.

Why do people think it's ok to bring babies to the movies? They should have taken them outside once they started crying.

If they would have taken them out I would have had no problem with it but they refused to go and then the one baby would cry and it would like start the baby on the other side of the theatre crying. At one point they didn't let up for a solid ten minutes and the parents just sat there not giving a fuck. The one didn't even pick the kid up. They were just in their carrier thing on the ground.

Because they can't afford/find/don't want to bother to find a sitter or think the kid will sleep through the whole thing.

On a related note, I came home from the movies once and complained about a bb crying during it and my mom was all "Well you know we used to take YOU to the movies when you were a baby!" and I was like "omg who are you. why would you do that." So sometimes otherwise ok parents will do stuff like that. :||||

ugh thankfully that only happened to me once. I saw scream 4 and this large family came in with 5 young kids and they treated the movie theatre like a jungle gym. Plus every time someone was killed off one of the kids would just sob and scream how scared they were. If they can't find a babysitter, then they should just wait until it's able to rent.

I just drove through Oregon wine country last weekend and was thinking about doing a wine tour one day. I'm so rude, I haven't ever had Washington wine that I'm aware of.

Don't feel bad -- it's still pretty new and fairly regional. If you're ever in Seattle a lot of the WA wineries have tasting rooms in a suburb called Woodinville. It's a fun place to visit!

I saw Tottenham v Liverpool this weekend in Baltimore. It was hot and the game was a bore. But OMG, I just got home from the Tottenham training session this morning and it was so much fun. Got my shirt signed by a few of the players too!
