The telltale pregnancy sign is NOT the stomach. It's the boobs. I didn't really "show" until 6 months along, but my boobs were swollen from the very beginning. Her boobs are the same. She's not pregs.

I disagree. I know people who don't want to get married at all but are in serious, ten-year, monogamous relationships. So you're saying they shouldn't have kids becuase they're not married? That's not fair. What about gay couples? They should be able to have kids too but (in the US it's illegal) they can't get married. So this means they can't have kids either? Not fair.

This reminds me of some parenting mag or something a few years ago that knocked on Aniston on Friends for having a baby out of wedlock, while raving about the T.V. show Reba, which had 2 teenage characters who got married in high school when they got pregnant. Seriously...what a terrible example, a 30 something women in a relationship and financially stable wants to have a child before she has a ring on her finger. God forbid. I am sure if a couple of teens get knocked up its not because Jen Aniston did it, its probably because they are under-educated and horny.

I can't believe I'm going to say this, but I agree with you. I was thinking about that earlier. Congrats to Brad and Angie, but for heaven's sake, if you really did care about your kid's well being, you'd get married. If you are really committed to each other, then MAKE that committment final. It's a heck of a lot easier to get out of a relationship than it is to get out of a marriage. If they really cared about their children, they'd make it a legal family.

I fear marriage much more than I fear motherhood, and many women feel the same way. If you're old enough (she's 36) and capable of rearing a child (which she is) then there's absolutely nothing wrong with it.

not only that, but women do not have to be married in order to have and raise healthy children. yes, a two-parent marriage is ideal, but not necessary.

and finally, if some teenager is going to get knocked up, they're going to get knocked up whether or not jennifer aniston does too. if they're so weak-willed or weak-minded that celebrity gossip convinced them, it was going to happen anyway.
