everyone on the show has done something illegal to varying degrees (the show IS called "breaking bad"). the story revolves around the drug game, of course the characters are going to do horrible shit, if they were making an honest living, they wouldn't even be on the show. naturally im going to root for the guy who shows jesse some compassion and sees walt for what he really is, a ticking time bomb. and mike gets paid a lot of money because he's the type of person who knows better than to ask questions, a quality i'm sure gus looked long and hard to find in a person.
