and was i the only one who thought walt was really cold towards jesse when jesse was breaking down and crying? i mean it was awesome as a portrayal of how really inhuman walt's become--not to like turn around and give jesse a hug or anything, or respond to a human in need--but it was fucking PAINFUL

i'm watching that scene again rn and he's being really nice to jesse, all things considering. it's very walt-like, he's being kind but firm like he does when he's lying to him. and he did put his arm on his shoulder and tell him it was okay and stuff.

I think Walk definitely cares about Jesse. But only to a certain level. I secretly think he was thinking, 'Oh God, not again. Another Jesse breakdown.' Or something like that. I thought he only faintly cared about Jesse's breakdown in that scene.

IMO, Walt does care about Jesse but he doesn't respect him enough. He thinks he knows what is best for Jesse and if anything gets in the way of that he will stop it.

Walt doesn't care about Jesse. Jesse is someone who idolizes Walt and he wants to maintain that, so he's going to be "kind" to him to keep Jesse under his thumb. It's a rather abusive father/son like relationship really.

I thought that Walt did care in his own way, but it came across as so creepy with the way he was rubbing Jesse's shoulder. His behaviour with Skyler and Jesse is coming across as so domineering this season, it gave me similar bad feelings to the end of 501 when he was rubbing his thumb along Skyler's back when he hugs her

nah, i dont think he cares about him anymore. i think that speech jesse gave him in s3 (i think it was s3, in the hospital) wasn't true then, but i think it's true now. walt is looking out for walt, not jesse.

This ep ended way too soon. Mike was amazing tonight tho. Doing everything for his granddaughter, what a sweet old man. Too presh. Walt is still a piece of shit, manipulating Jesse every chance he gets. My poor bb.

Also, interesting to see how far and wide felt Walt actions have gone. The guy is seriously way in over his head.

pretty much everyone in this show is a horrible person. since being an asshole/murder/drug dealer/etc is the baseline for everyone, fans have to stan for a character for their characteristics besides that. nobody wants to watch a show without being able to like a single character.
