Katy Perry Reveals Details About Her New Album



Hello Kitty Kats!!! Katy Perry has teased the first details of her upcoming third album!!

Katy says she wants her next record to be like the ‘black box” of her life and has hinted that the album may be about some of her biggest secrets.

“I would love to just let it be the black box of who I am,” Katy told Capital FM this week, ahead of premiering her documentary film Katy Perry: Part Of Me 3D in the UK.

With all of the drama she has had from her split from husband Russell Brand she said she expects it to be much “darker” than “Teenage Dream” as it’s only natural that those experiences would find there way into her music.

She does however admit she is in a much happier place and could never write an album solely about heartbreak and sadness like Adele’s “21”.

“I’d never devote a whole record to heartbreak,” she revealed. “I’m happy, I’m in a good place, I’m looking forward to my future”.

It hasn't started turning a profit though. I'm guessing the studio spent a lot of money on marketing, because there were a lot of commercials.
It also has to make more than its budget to make even, because not all the money its receiving is going to the studio.

I miss the days when popstars would let their music speak for themselves. I mean, I get it, you had a divorce. I honestly do feel for you, I can only imagine what you're feeling right now. But you said you were on break. Take your break, make your music, and let it speak for itself. Or at least wait for promo time. I mean no shade, but her movie flopped, people don't ostensibly don't care about your black box yet.

She makes the perfect sort of entertaining pop that doesn't try to be art. Let it stay fluffy and if it's not, let it pleasantly surprise.

she doesn't understand that silently releasing this amazing, dark fuck you single would do so much more for her than talking about it for a year before it comes out.

pop stars don't get that just because twitter and the media are omnipresent these days, doesn't mean they have to use them.

learn from how you over-hyped and over-promoted teenage dream to a disappointing first week (i know it went to #1 and spawned all those #1 singles, but you waited forever to release it and it would've sold way more first week if it had been released earlier). learn from how over-hyped born this way was. etc. etc.

i think rihanna is the only one who gets it. some hype. quick releases. moving on.

I used to feel the same way but her music videos are extremely creative and artistic. She also has written some songs that did not become singles but are really great a lot more than just entertaining pop fluff. I had no idea how talented she is until recently.

I think that for the big stars that time is dead. Being really famous in the huge media / internet world we live in now means people will always be asking, so any answer at all will now me hugely proliferated.

she's had 2 albums come out in 4 years, she just has more singles than most people because Teenage Dream had so many hits on it and continued to sell.
