Kate Upton responds to her critics by hitting the gym...in Detroit

Did Kate Upton sign up at the gym to quiet haters?

What’s the one thing Kate Upton doesn’t need to do? Make herself look better. Yet that’s what she was doing Tuesday evening at a Detroit-area gym. A source close to It’s Always Sunny in Detroit witnessed Miss Upton walk by him as he sculpted his chest. Naturally (and why wouldn’t he?), he focused on Upton as she took a full tour of the facility and later met with a trainer and inked her name to a contract.

After signing up, Kate returned to her car to grab her ear buds. This is her walking back into the gym to start her first “post fat-gate ” work out.

If you don’t believe the pictures, you can take my word. I met Kate Upton.

A post for all my Detroiters out there. Looks like Kate has inadvertantly confirmed those rumors that she's dating Detroit Tigers pitcher Justin Verlander. They've been seen all around town together the last couple days. Uplander!

Birmingham/Troy area, where Verlander lives. It's funny to see these pictures knowing exactly where that gym is. They were at Kona Grill in Troy today apparently.

Yeah, I asked around and apparently some friends saw them out in Birmingham over the weekend. Well, they recognized Verlander but not Upton. And IA it's always weird to see anything about Detroit on ONTD, haha.

My ten year old cousin believes she's fat. And it's not just something she randomly said in passing; the kid goes to therapy over stuff like this and everything.

Watching what society often does to women makes me sad. As a guy, I'm not ridiculed if I gain a pound. Shit happens. If a woman gains weight, she's suddenly a whale. I was naturally skinny for years; no one ever walked up to me and told me to eat a burger. And I wasn't constantly told that I had to get in better shape in order to be good enough for women. It's a really fucked up cycle that I don't see ending any time soon.

Exactly. It's really infuriating. If I ever have money, I'm using it to start a self-esteem workshop program for girls AND boys in schools. It all starts when you're young.

I know. The worst part is that it makes people who are overweight lose any confidence that will help them become healthy. I struggled for so long being slightly overweight, but I would eat because I was depressed about it. It took me a long time to find a support system and then it wasn't even something I tried to do, it just happened naturally that I became healthier. I remember being 110 at 5'3 in high school and feeling so fat even though I was doing two hours of soccer a day and ate very little and then I broke my leg and gained a bunch of weight and lost any confidence I had.

ugh, I know, but many people are assholes about whatever they can find to be assholes about. they get off on it. meanwhile, what do these commentators look like? are they the picture of physical perfection? I highly doubt it. it's so infuriating.

It's incredible how we're sometimes taught to be so insecure about our bodies and then project that onto other people by calling them fat or deeming them unworthy.

These girls make me sad. ): With my ED I at least knew my thoughts were batshit crazy. I didn't need to sit around talking about how fat other people were because I knew that my own views of weight were insane. I may not want to weigh as much as so and so, but at least I knew they looked fine in nonstarving people world.

Most of ONTD hates her too. Idky ppl are trying to backtrack now. Go to a post from like a month ago and you'll see comments hating on her almost as bad as that blog.
