Russell Brand is Spilling That Tea, Calls Katy Perry a Pain in the Ass.

RUSSELL Brand has revealed Katy Perry was a pain in the ass during their short-lived marriage.

The British comedian — who recently finalized his divorce from the singer — shocked a live audience during the filming of his American show by saying Perry gave him “ass-ache”.

The 37-year-old star was at Solar Studios in Los Angeles on Sunday filming this week’s installment of his chat show BrandX for network FX.

While he refused to go into depth about his legal union to the 27-year-old singer after they announced their split in December, he had now admitted that she was irritating.

“Russell was bantering with the audience, in particular a couple called Curtis and Katy,” a source said.

“He got onto the subject of their sex life. Katy was giving as good as she got.

“Then, all of a sudden Russell shouted: ‘Anyway, enough of you. I’ve had enough ass-ache from people called Katy in the last year.’

“It was obvious he meant Katy Perry.
The whole room gasped. I think it took a couple of seconds for what he’d said to sink in.

“He then laughed and shouted: ‘Oh no, there might be a journalist in the room.’ He shrugged his shoulders and murmured: ‘Oh well,’ before moving onto his next subject.”

Katy recently blamed Russell for the breakdown of their marriage, as he didn’t come and see during her enough while she was on her California Dreams Tour.

When asked if Russell’s absence was the catalyst for the break-up, Katy replied, “Yes, if I could edit it any other way I would but that is exactly what it was.

“I always had plans to make this record (‘Teenage Dream’) and usually with a record, you tour.

“Touring is always important to me. It’s like a big IOU to my fans, because I know they are the reason I exist.”

I find it sad that anyone cares.

I've barely followed this mess of a marriage, but is it really expected for a spouse to travel all over to see the one that's on tour?
filmic_1109 17th-Jul-2012 10:33 pm (UTC)
well YEAH. Especially since instead of Katy resting on her off days she'd just exhaust herself even more by always flying out to see him.
fauxparadiso 17th-Jul-2012 10:40 pm (UTC)
Well I was putting it more as a "they'd see each other when she was in the area" kind of thing. It's one thing if the spouse doesn't work but didn't he have his own stuff as a celeb to handle? It just seems like a weird reason to end a marriage when tons of people do long distance relationships and it was only something they'd have to deal with for a fixed amount of time. I wonder if they didn't do stuff like video chats or keeping phone contact.
brenden 17th-Jul-2012 10:21 pm (UTC)
o so she can exploit the divorce in a flop ass movie to cheers but he exploits the divorce in his career and he's a bad guy

Yeah, both are known for their candour, I'm sure they can't shock each other.

I actually agree tbh. They hardly talk about it but at the same time I am tired of hearing about it from both of them.
brenden 17th-Jul-2012 10:24 pm (UTC)
the thing is, i never heard about it from russel's side it's always katy perry talkin about it. guess she's gotta do something to keep peoples' interest aside from riding a 2 year old album.

I mean ia but she seems to have at least tried not to be overly spiteful and this just seems mean.

And he didn't really do it publicly like she has. He said it in a room full of people and a journalist there ran with it.

imkevinspacey 17th-Jul-2012 10:21 pm (UTC)
I'm sure he'll go into it all in detail in the seventeenth My Booky Wook.
the_pinkdress 17th-Jul-2012 10:28 pm (UTC)
I doubt it, their divorce agreement probably had a clause that prevents them from ever talking explicitly about what happened.

I can't even be bothered to care at this point. Over male comedians altogether.

...really? was this the tipping point?
one_hoopy_frood 17th-Jul-2012 10:25 pm (UTC)
No, everything else last week was the tipping point. I have just moved on from rage to no longer being capable of giving any fucks. I like Russell, but I can still think he's being a jerk.

This is true.

I was just reading a defense of Louis CK's statments about Tosh from this Time Magazine TV critic I usually like (retweeted by a female TV critic I really like) and I'm shaking my head at some of the article and comments:
http://entertainment.time.com/2012/07/17/louis-ck-talks-daniel-tosh-rape-joke-furor-on-daily-show-gives-classically-louis-ck-ian-response/
mushroomsamba 17th-Jul-2012 10:34 pm (UTC)
I always forget he's a comedian
timbershiver 17th-Jul-2012 11:46 pm (UTC)
I was just saying the same thing. I have nothing against the male comedians in this thread - I find them all amusing at some point - but they are just another white boys club, with one token black guy (usually Reginald D Hunter), or one token female - and if Andi Osho is available, then that's that quota sorted for a month!. Mock the Week, Would I Lie to You, 8 Out of 10 Cats, it's all a nursery of quite funny, vaguely annoying white blokes, leading ther beigeness of British Comedy.

And Russell Howard annoys me because I believe if he wasn't a puny bloke using his lazy eye as a self-deprecating defense mechanism, he would be just as bad as the way he describes his dickhead mates and brother. And don't get me started on his 'football' chants, that's not him being ironic, he would be delighted if they took off on the stands.

I used my Flaw-dector on Dara and it's ok, he's clean.

But oh shit, I'm old enough to honestly miss Bill Hicks.
