Sam Claflin Reportedly Offered Role of Finnick In 'Catching Fire,' Melissa Leo/Tony Shaloub Too

Sources tell Zap2it exclusively that the most coveted role in "The Hunger Games" sequel "Catching Fire" has been cast -- and British actor Sam Claflin has got the gig. Official reps for the film won't comment on the casting, but our reliable sources reveal that producer Nina Jacobson and Lionsgate have signed off on Clafin's offer.

Now he just has to accept the role!

Claflin beat out actors like Jennifer Lawrence's "X-Men: The First Class" costar Lucas Till and "90210" hunk Trevor Donovan for the role -- as well as more recognizable names, like Armie Hammer and Garrett Hedlund.

The British actor is best known for playing Kristen Stewart's childhood sweetheart, William, in "Snow White and the Huntsman." He also had a role in "Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides," as Philip.

Is he the Finnick you pictured, "Hunger Games" fans?

Didn't POTC4 actually make a shitload of money? And SWATH wasn't too shabby at the box office, either.

Nevermind, I came to this post only to see the rage flowing, didn't read the article.
