Breaking Bad Red Carpet Premier & Comic-Con Panel



Aaron Paul and Bryan Cranston are dapper as can be at the season five premiere of their hit show Breaking Bad during 2012 Comic-Con held at Reading Cinemas Gaslamp on Saturday (July 14) in San Diego, Calif.

The co-stars were joined at the premiere event by their cast mates Anna Gunn, RJ Mitte, Dean Norris, and Bob Odenkirk.

Also showing up for the event was The Walking Dead cast members Lauren Cohan, Laurie Holden, Steven Yeun, Norman Reedus, and Danai Gurira!

I know they had one like it at hot topic. It was in the window display so I went in and got one for my bf. it was like $20 but I think it said Heisenberg on the bottom...? Idk I can't remember. This was like two months ago too haha

but i seem to like the one he's wearing the most. i can try to recreate and print it but it's just sooo much trouble. hahahaha i rather just buy it online. thanks anyway!

"Gus Fring" (Giancarlo Esposito) is not white. He is also one of the show's most prominent/central characters.

Beyond that, I would actually argue that Breaking Bad -- unlike say, "Friends" -- manages to at least accurately reflect the cultural/racial demographics of the plot location (ABQ, New Mexico -- which is like 70% white and 45% various Hispanic groups).

It's fairly white, the bad guys are usually POC. Idk, doesn't bother me because I loved how the Mexicans on this show spoke Spanish and not accented English. Also it showed a rather accurate description of the cartels, even mentioning the cult of Santa Muerte.

IDK, I think it's actually a pretty realistic take on New Mexico. The main main cast is mostly white (with one extremely prominent exception in seasons 2-4), but the background and secondary cast is made up of a lot of Hispanics and POC: Hank's partner and his APD friend, all of Walt's bosses*, their coworkers at the lab, Jesse's girlfriend and her son, one of his crew... etc.

Edit: Oop. One of his bosses is Hispanic and the other is Eastern European. Neither are like, WASP-white, though.

and then the "I forgive you" at the end of the episode?!? Fucking CREEPY & psychotic, like HE forgives HER? Holy hell this is going to be one twisted season....
