I think they were trying to incorporate the "Sookie gets her house burnt down partly" storyline but changing the reason (since things have changed too much before to do what is in the books). So I wonder if Sookie's house is next...

if the authority is anti-sanguinista why are they always praying to lilith and shit? ngl I haven't been paying the utmost attention this season so it's probably obvious, but can anyone explain?

also did an eye roll as the jesus/lala storyline got expanded, ballz is spreading this show too thin

the authority and the sanguinistas share their religious beliefs, but the sanguinistas take a very literal interpretation of the religious texts and therefore believe humans exist for vampire consumption, while the authority people believe humans were made in the image of vampire and therefore are there to co-exist with them.

Someone explained it well in a previous post, but basically its the universal vampire religion and the sanguinistas are extremists who are interpreting the Bible in a different way.
