Tom's Risky Business: The REAL reason the settlement was reached


[BlindGossip] When the person who appears to have the power in a relationship backs down quickly in a dispute, you know that there have to be some compelling reasons why. Although all the talk up to this point has been about his involvement with a powerful group, there were actually three other reasons he settled so quickly.

Here are the three reasons: 1. His very personal relationship with a professional athlete. 2. His very personal relationship with a musician. 3. His very personal relationship with a famous actor.

She was ready and willing to expose all three relationships to get what she wanted. The scandal of having these three famous people deposed by attorneys about their sexual relationships would have destroyed all four men. So, he gave her the thing she wanted most so that his biggest secret could remain a secret.

I agree, but don't you think she knew what kinda crazy she was getting when she married him? Why marry and procreate with someone who is obviously in a cult/crazy/struggling with sexuality? Of course, I have kids and I would do anything to save them...so...yes I'd sink to whatever level it takes to keep them safe.

He was already a scientologist when they got pregnant. If she didn't want her kid raised a scientologist, she shouldn't have had a baby with a scientologist. IF he had gotten involved after suri was born, I would agree that she needs to fight tooth and nail to escape... but she needs to just take responsibility and realize he's her dad and that there are tons of parents of different religions having babies all over the world and they work it out. IF Katie doesn't want her raised a scientologist, than it doesn't have to be that way. She got out and offered Suri an alternative, but it's not necessary to use sexuality as a weapon here. That's so detrimental to EVERYBODY involved in that.

I think that by the time she knew the full fuckery it was too late. Or maybe those rumors of Tom wanting to send Suri to SeaOrg are true and she had enough. Those people are evil

I wonder how much younger Katie is than Tom, when you're young sometimes you just don't see stuff you'd see if you married older.

17 yrs difference, she was about 27 when they got married, yes? Also $ci is so secretive, I'm sure you only get exposed to its true extent long after it's already gotten its hooks in you. Current media firestorm notwithstanding.

Sheesh, almost twenty years. Seems like Tom is stupid if he really believes that stuff; I did hear they only let wealthy members see what they want them to see, but Tom is pretty slow even so. Creepy.
