The Wanted: We met One Direction in massage room
The Wanted claim the only time they've met fellow British boyband One Direction in America was when both bands were at a massage parlour.
The groups have both returned from successful promotional tours in the US, sparking a re-emergence of the 'British Invasion' tag.
But when asked if the two bands had met up, The Wanted's Tom Parker revealed they'd encountered the fellow five-piece at an unexpected location.
"We only saw them once when we bumped into them at a massage parlour," he laughed during an interview with BBC Radio One. "It was in the smallest unused rehearsal space and they were literally next door. So we went and said 'hi'."
The Wanted - made up of Tom, Max George, Jay McGuiness, Siva Kaneswaran and Nathan Sykes - and One Direction - comprising of Harry Styles, Zayn Malik, Louis Tomlinson, Liam Payne and Niall Horan - have achieved chart success during their time in America. The Wanted's Glad You Came peaked at number three and One Direction's debut album Up All Night topped the Billboard Album Chart.
When asked why they'd had such an impact on America, The Wanted's youngest member Nathan admitted it was a great time for pop music.
"We had a really good team in Def Jam Records, and it was just the right time," acknowledged Nathan. "One Direction were over at the same time and it just turned into a British Invasion."
"Pop music was quite popular so it was quite an easy transition," Tom added.

He is quoted as saying: "I'd get my ass kicked (against all of them). But one-on-one I'd take them. I'd try a spin-kick. To the face." lol yeah especially Liam, the former boxer.
The 'What Makes You Beautiful' group should be wary of going one-on-one against the teen heartthrob because he was recently taught to box by former world heavyweight champion Mike Tyson.
The 18-year-old pop star put his pugilistic skills to the test while visiting the 45-year-old retired sportsman - who famously once bit part of opponent Evander Holyfield's ear off during a bout - in Las Vegas.
Mike posted a YouTube video of Justin - who is known to be a big fan of champion boxer Floyd Mayweather Jr. - pounding his fists into a punch bag that the boxing legend is holding, and afterwards the pair high-fived each other.
In a description of the clip on his YouTube page, Mike wrote: "Justin swung by my place during the weekend of the Billboard Music Awards to say hi to the family. We took him straight to garage and had him hit the bag. JB's got the moves! (sic)"
Justin was also recently accused of assaulting a photographer.
The 'Never Say Never' hitmaker was allegedly involved in a physical altercation with a paparazzo, who was trying to take pictures of him and his girlfriend Selena Gomez in Calabasas, California.

It should come as no surprise to Directioners that Louis once pursued a career as a child actor - he's energetic; loves to talk; and can easily become the center of attention with his antics. Louis has been known to go a little too far with his jokes and hyperactive behavior, so perhaps that's why his parents decided to try to get him to direct his energy towards acting.
And of course it was only a matter of time before a Directioner dug up a video of Louis Tomlinson showing off his acting ability. The suspender-wearing singer was cast as an extra in the TV movie If I Had You four years before One Direction was formed.
If I Had You was about a murder investigation, and Louis played one of the lucky young lads that got to discover a dead body floating in a lake. He even got to keep his name - another boy yells, "Louis! Come here! Louis!" when he sees the dead woman. Louis runs up behind him and can be seen over his shoulder for a second or two (it's no Stand by Me).
Luckily Louis Tomlinson's acting career didn't turn into anything more back then - he wouldn't be a member of 1D now. However, it's possible that he could try acting again to prove that he's got more talent than he showed during his short appearance in If I Had You. There has been talk about One Direction doing a movie someday, and singers like Justin Timberlake, Madonna, Beyonce, and Cher are all proof that it's very possible for musicians to become movie stars. Justin Bieber is also trying to land his first starring role in a movie that requires acting (Never Say Never doesn't count).
