for some reason, i feel really uncomfortable with the material in this video. like, why's the president with gold teeth, cigar and gangster attitude all up in the white house and oval office? or is the president analogy only for the intro and outro?? is it because this president is black and that's how she would imagine a black president's reign to be? b/c obama. idk it seems weird.
i do like the way it was shot and the idea of not always having a white guy with a white lady lead but yeah, there's something wrong with it for me
it's also unnerving how the mixed kids are being fetishized in the comments as 'mixed' kids. can they just be cute kids? feck. this makes it even more clear that the race play is for provocation and not lana and viewers just being cool with hiring whoever for her love interest. ugh! i'm weirded out.

eh. i didn't care for the super obvious shots of her "white" hands on his "black" skin but i didn't really connect it to obama. but it was fairly obvious in a THIS IS A INTERRACIAL COUPLE way.
It's a hip-hop inspired song. If she only used white actors or had the black guy looking like a Huxtable she'd have been accused of whitewashing everything. I don't think there's anything wrong with acknowledging true things about a culture that Lana clearly finds value in.
