Mathew Knowles' Reality Show ‘Breaking From Above' Premieres In America
After making its international debut last Fall, Mathew Knowles’ MTV reality series, “Breaking From Above” finally premiered in the U.S. on Monday. The show features the music executive's newest all-female act, From Above.
Knowles found success managing the careers of eight diverse girl groups, including Destiny’s Child, Blaque, and Trin-i-tee 5:7. Under the savvy mogul’s guidance, the series will follow From Above's five U.K. natives (Ashley, Daisy, Seyi, Chelsey and Monique) as they go through his artist development program, which consists of intense physical, vocal, media and choreography training.
Knowles, who serves as the show’s creator and executive producer, said airing it in the U.S. offers "a great platform for the ladies."
"The U.S. launch is very unique and interesting -- all of the key players are from the U.S., with the exception of the ladies, who all reside in London," he said in a statement provided to The Huffington Post.
The show's choreographers, other staff members and "glam team" are based in the U.S., and 95 percent of filming took place in Knowles' native Houston.
“Our goal is continue to build [From Above's] brand internationally and use the U.S. launch as an introduction to the group and their music," Knowles explained.
"Breaking From Above" will run daily on Teen Nick through June 29 at 8:30 PM/ET.

Just finished watching the whole clip. I'm probably gonna end up watching the fuck out of this show and I wonder if he dangles the possibility of meeting Beyoncé over their heads from week to week to keep 'em motivated.

lol
I was thinking the same thing.
paaainfully boriing. girls uncharismatic, him being a huge tyrannical douche I expected someone to hit at any moment but even that got tedious......terrible. just terrible.
it's a damn girl group. it's not supposed to be that serious.
but they're making it out to look like it's some Iron Man Tournament or ESPN Cross Fit Games when it doesn't need to be that dramatic.
but IA.

i feel like i've seen that clip somewhere before. anyway, that's just his "joe jackson" ways, i guess.
nobody likes you
Mathew Knowles made an appearance on British talk show "Lorraine" this morning where he promoted his new girl group From Above and gushed about his new granddaughter saying, “You just want to love and kiss her but the great thing with grandkids is that you can give them back.”
You know he ain't never seen her.
And ded at Destiny's Child being the first damn thing you see... and omg his voice is so ridiculous. I feel like he should be a voice over actor for a character on The Cleveland Show.
Also he is really ugly. Like legit Ugly. Tina gurl, bless the lawdT FROM ABOVE for your genes, gurl.
