Jimmy Henchman’s Publicist Statement On Murder Indictment

A representative for incarcerated Hip-Hop mogul James “Jimmy Henchman” Rosemond has responded to recent news that he has been indicted for a 2009 murder.

Rosemond is currently incarcerated in a federal prison in Brooklyn awaiting sentencing, after he was convicted on 13 charges on June 4, relating to cocaine distribution charges.

Rosemond, who is facing a life sentence in October, was indicted on Friday (June 22), for the September 2009 murder of a man named Lowell Fletcher.

Lowell Fletcher was an associate of 50 Cent, Tony Yayo and G-Unit.

He was also a top leader of a faction of The Bloods gang street gang in Far Rockaway, Queens.

Fletcher, aka Lodi Mack, was involved in an infamous incident, in which Tony Yayo allegedly smacked Rosemond’s son as they left the offices of Violator Management, which handles the career of 50 Cent.

“This new indictment is no surprise, we heard it was a possibility,” Sibrena Stowe de Fernandez told AllHipHop.com.

“Again his family and supporters are standing by Jimmy and we’ll let his attorneys do their job.”

Both Lowell Fletcher and Tony Yayo pleaded guilty to the crime of striking Rosemond’s son.

Fletcher served two years for the incident and unrelated charges, in addition to the ultimate price – his life.

In February of 2008,Tony Yayo was sentenced to community service and ordered to do public service announcements denouncing violence.

The rapper’s grandmother’s house was also shot up in an incident in April 2007 and 50 Cent’s Dix, Hills mansion was firebombed and burned to the ground in May 2008, while his family was inside.

Tony Yayo addressed the incident on the track “Straight Outta Southside” from the album T.O.S.: Terminate On Site.
Federal prosecutors will not seek the death penalty against James Rosemond for the murder of Lowell Fletcher.

Big Hutch Sues Dr. Dre, Aftermath, Interscope, Ruff Ryders and EVE

West Coast pioneer Big Hutch is claiming theft and deception, and is suing multi-platinum West Coast producer Dr. Dre., his Aftermath Records, Interscope Records, Ruff Ryders and and multi-platinum Philly femcee Eve over the 1999 single, “Love Is Blind.”

Hutch stated the song was stripped of some of its original components and released in September 1999 on the album, Let There Be EVE… Ruff Ryders’ First Lady.

Hutch asserts that he co-wrote and produced “Love Is Blind,” and that when EVE made the transition from Aftermath to the Ruff Ryders, all parties failed to give Hutch credit.

In addition, Hutch says that between 2000 and 2001, while serving as the VP to Death Row during Suge Knight’s incarceration, Hutch approached Aftermath to assist him with retaining compensation for his involvement, but was told, ‘We can’t help you. You have no proof.’

Aftermath further explained to Hutch they could not put anything together to help obtain the rights to the song he “helped produce.”

Hutch continued on with his own music career while battling Aftermath, but was incarcerated from July 2004 to August 2007. Prior to his incarceration Hutch says he, “stored and warehoused all his musical catalog, and it wasn’t until this year 2012 that he finally stumbled across his ‘proof’, for the original.”

“I’m not trying to take away from what EVE has done, but I was a key in helping EVE create a hit record,” Hutch said.

Hutch was signed to the late Eazy-E’s Ruthless Records and had a group called Above The Law. Hutch and Above The Law’s 1990 Living Like Hutstlers debut album release was selected as one of The Source’s “100 Best Rap Albums Ever” and claimed The Billboard 200 at #75 and Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums at #14.

He acknowledges himself as Dr. Dre’s “understudy,” in his legal press release and is currently signed to Psychopathic Records, home to the famed Insane Clown Posse. Hutch plans to release an album ICP’s label entitled The Only Solution. Hutch currently also heads his own label West World Records with his business partners with the label Big Shot Music Group.

EVE, Dr. Dre, Aftermath Records, and Interscope Records have yet to comment. More news will be released as details emerge.

50 Cent added his two cents into the conversation, and went as far as choosing who he think would come out on top if Breezy and Drizzy got into a fight.

“I’d take Chris, because of all of the physical movement and dancing that he does. He just be slipping and moving and Wham, and I don’t see Drake doing that.”

”Chris be having his shirt off, he has one of those MMA fighter looks,” said 50 Cent. “Like he might have done karate as a kid.” “He might put him [Drake] in an arm bomb, break it on the floor.”

PUSHA T SOUNDS OFF ON LIL WAYNE BEEF, CHRIS BROWN VS. DRAKE

In addition to revealing the release date for the G.O.O.D. Music compilation, Pusha T weighed in on a number of hot topics during his interview with Funkmaster Flex. Find out what he thought of “Ghoulish,” Lil Wayne’s response to his fiery record “Exodus 23:1,” and whether Kanye West has taken interest in his beef with Young Money. Plus, does he support Nicki Minaj’s decision to cancel her Summer Jam performance and what does he make of the Chris Brown vs. Drake drama? You may be surprised by his answers.

On whether we will see another Clipse album: “Definitely. A lot of people get that twisted and they say, ‘You and your brother broke up.’ We can’t break up, we brothers. It doesn’t happen that way. He went and did his book and I went on a solo venture. We definitely coming back with another Clipse album.”

On Nicki Minaj vs. Hot 97: “Let’s call a spade a spade. [Peter] Rosenberg attacked her. Rosenberg was doing him, but that’s what he does. He’s an outspoken guy, everybody knows that. … I definitely would have performed, just for the sake of my fans. I know Rosenberg’s personality well enough to know that this is what comes with the territory. It’s a cruel world out here. Everybody got their own opinions. When Rosenberg disses me, I’ma black out in a verse immediately the best way I know how.”

On Young Money’s decision to boycott Summer Jam: “I thought it showed a real level of camaraderie by her listening [to Wayne] and not performing, and sort of banding together like, ‘Yo, we ain’t doing it.’ There was some solidarity there. I thought that was fresh.”

On his song “Exodus 23:1,” which is believed to be aimed at Drake: “I was surprised by anybody, Wayne specifically, answering ‘Exodus.’ I’ve never seen one record that didn’t say a name cause so much of a firestorm.”

On what he thought of Wayne’s “Ghoulish” response: “It was horrible. It was trash. It wasn’t great.”

On why he hasn’t responded
“I haven’t said anything about it ’cause I didn’t think it was good enough to respond to.”
A+

On Wayne saying there’s no beef: “He’s already said what he’s said. At the end of the day, I think him saying what he said was in his best interest, to admit that you were emotional in reacting to something. I still want to know what part pertained, what hit you? I wanna know.”

On whether he’s spoken to Kanye about the feud: “I don’t talk to ‘Ye about rappers. I blacks out. I get busy. I stand by myself. We ain’t talked about it once.”

On the Chris Brown vs. Drake beef: “I would have never thought that the two was at it like that. I really wouldn’t have put them together and that whole situation. I didn’t like it. You know Chris from Virginia. I ain’t like that. You know, bottles and cuts and all that… That’s weak.”
LOL I love him

Btw, if you haven't heard Exodus 23:1 you're missing out

LL Cool J Talks Working on New Album

Just because LL Cool J hosted the 54th Annual Grammy Awards this past February and has a recurring role on CBS’ drama, NCIS: Los Angeles, doesn’t mean he’s forgot where he came from.

The multi-platinum and legendary rapper revealed that he’s working on a new album.

“As far as the album is concerned, it’s real authentic hip-hop, you know what I’m sayin?” LL told XXL yesterday (June 20), after announcing the launch of his new virtual studio recording software, My Connect Studio, in conjunction with Sony. “It’s LL Cool J being LL Cool J.

“It’s 2012, so it doesn’t sound like it would sound if it were 10 years ago or 20 years ago, but it’s definitely official,” he added.

Although LL didn’t reveal a title or ballpark release date, he did suggest that his 13th studio album would give listeners something that they haven’t heard.

“It’s a breath of fresh air,” he said. “It doesn’t sound like anything that’s out right now. I think it’s crazy. It’s the business. It’s real.”

Exit 13 back in September of 2008 marked LL last LP offering, as he hasn’t dropped a new album since.

Yesterday, he also shared that he already started using his My Connect Studio software, which essentially allows two people to collaborate on music real time despite their location, to record parts of his new album.

“I’m going to be doing a little bit of the album on the studio, make sure that it is official,” the MC discloses. “And as a matter of fact I started on my album too. It’s authentic hip-hop, it’s the business.”

He ran out of bars after Trag stopped writing for him, but I do admit that most of N.O.R.E (the album) goes so hard. I remember going to Vegas for the Big Time basketball tourney and basically all my teams' rooms and most of the rooms of the East Coast teams had this album blasting in their hotels.

This song is so indicative of East Coast hip-hop at the time. Shit almost brings a tear to my eye. Crew joints like this basically don't exist anymore, and the ones that drop now are so glossy that they don't seem like the same genre of music of joints like this.
laurie_springs 25th-Jun-2012 05:28 am (UTC)
