*It is the season of being real.
Frenchie Davis, singing competition veteran, decided to come out of the closet and confess proudly to the world that she’s been dating a woman for the past year.
“I wasn’t out before the relationship, but I wasn’t in,” she told the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. “I dated men and women, though lesbians weren’t feeling the bisexual thing. Now I’m in love with a woman I think I can be with forever.”The singer is best known for her Broadway performance of “Rent” and traveling musical “Dreamgirls.” [And American Idol.] [Ed: AND The Voice!]
She proudly supports the gay community and will be performing this weekend at the Chicago Pride Fest. She’s also working on a new album she says is going to make people dance.
[Ed: So sad to read about the anti-bi attitudes so many have suffered from "straight" gays. (Not sure what else to call a gay who can't identify with a bi!)]
