Emma Roberts wants to appear in Fifty Shades of Grey.
The 21-year-old actress admits she hasn't read the steamy novel — which follows a young college graduate who is introduced to the world of bondage and kinky sex by manipulative billionaire Christian Grey — but would like the lead role in the proposed movie adaptation because she wants to do something "racy".
She said: "Everyone says read Fifty Shades of Grey. I don't really understand. But everyone on the plane was reading it, and I was like, 'I should probably just get it.'"
"I haven't read it, I don't even understand, but yeah, it sounds awesome. Anything racy, hot. Sure, let's get hot."
While Roberts is keen to take on the role, Selena Gomez — who made a parody video based on E. L. James' novel — recently ruled out appearing in the film because it is too "spicy" for her.
She said: "I only read the beginning of it, because when they told me about the skit, I didn't know what it was about. So I started to read it, and I was like, 'Oh, this is spicy.' So I thought it was good, it was intriguing."
"I don't think I would take on the role. I know I'm taking risks, but I don't think I could do that! That would be a little too much for me. I think someone older should do that part."
Recently, American Psycho author Bret Easton Ellis suggested Scarlett Johansson should take on the role and he even offered to write the script.
In a series of tweets which have now been deleted from his account, he wrote: "I'm putting myself out there to write the movie adaptation of Fifty Shades of Grey... This is not a joke. Christian Grey and Ana: potentially great cinematic characters."
"Thinking more conventionally for Ana in Fifty Shades of Grey...Scarlett Johansson or Kristen Stewart."

I graduated college, which was huge and now I'm living the life of a bum.
what's interesting now is because the economy is basically shit all over the world, hah, people are not just moving directly into typical 9-5 jobs. so a nice "i still might get week days off" schedule could be a good transition (or like for me, a way of life! hah)
I wish :(
i did an internship with a newspaper here in town when i was in college and ended up sticking around there until, well, now, in various capacities. For a few years I got out of editorial and had to do layout, but I still pursued freelance on the side, and now I am doing it full-time. You build up clips and the opportunities come - or they don't and you have a lot of shit jobs that you can write a great book about :D
good luck though bb, I know it's hard! but seriously for a little while just let yourself NOT think of it. Don't let the stress ruin taking some time off!
