Nick Stahl's Wife Ending Search for Missing Actor

Nick Stahl's wife has decided to end the search for the missing "Terminator 3" star after he disappeared from friends and family for the 2nd time in two months.

Stahl -- who was MIA for a couple of weeks in May -- vanished again last week after checking out of an L.A. rehab facility against the advice of his doctors.

TMZ spoke with Rose Stahl who tells us she will no longer actively search for her husband and unlike the incident in May, she has also decided she will NOT involve police.

"I'm backing off" Rose tell us adding,"He knows exactly where home is. It's the loving thing to do for him, myself and our daughter."

I'm sure the police would have looked into him actually being there after he showed back up.

Did the police ever confirm he was in rehab? IIRC only his wife said he was in rehab. You'd think his people would have released a statement saying he was/wasn't.

IDK, it does seem suspicious.

i don't think they did. you figured because he is a celebrity, if he had, they would have updated the public.

Actually, the police would NOT look into it. My dad did the same thing, even went to rehab (we knew 'cause we were sent the bill) and we even filed a missing person's report with the police prior to finding out he went to rehab.

The police have this thing called 'voluntarily missing', and they will often not look into missing adult cases. The OP might be joking, but it is very easy to fake he went to rehab, since there's not much to back it up.
