Nick Stahl's Wife Ending Search for Missing Actor

Nick Stahl's wife has decided to end the search for the missing "Terminator 3" star after he disappeared from friends and family for the 2nd time in two months.

Stahl -- who was MIA for a couple of weeks in May -- vanished again last week after checking out of an L.A. rehab facility against the advice of his doctors.

TMZ spoke with Rose Stahl who tells us she will no longer actively search for her husband and unlike the incident in May, she has also decided she will NOT involve police.

"I'm backing off" Rose tell us adding,"He knows exactly where home is. It's the loving thing to do for him, myself and our daughter."

im confused. what exactly did i try, sweetheart?

Tried what? It's a valid point. Give me the name of a single person who has seen him in the last 2 months. OTHER than her, of course.

Ummmmmmmmm probably the people who work at the LA rehab center he was checked into?
fromyourashes 21st-Jun-2012 07:48 pm (UTC)
That's what I'm saying. If there's suspicion about whether or not he's dead or alive, someone could simply call the facility and ask if he'd ever been checked in.

I don't know. What about HIPAA?

uh huh but has she ever given anyone a name of the facility hes been to? i mean i know she wouldnt tell us, the general public, but whose to say she told the authorities anything but "hes in rehab"

i mean she very well may have, but im just sayin

but whose to say she told the authorities anything but "hes in rehab"

And whose to say she didn't? Pretty sure if she refused to give the authorities the name of his rehabilitation center that would be a huge red flag for them. I trust the LAPD aren't that incompetent. idk why this is even being brought up tbh.

I'm guessing you don't know any addicts. It's not a valid point, it's a stupid ass statement.
fromyourashes 21st-Jun-2012 07:51 pm (UTC)
I've known more addicts than straight people, and lost several of them. And after a certain amount of time, you realize that some people do not want to be saved, and parents who are addicts do not deserve to be saved if they make no effort.

Guess better before commenting next time.

The point is - if the only one talking was the wife, it's a valid question. Apparently the police were involved, so there's proof right there, but otherwise, I get her point.

It isn't a valid question, it's a stupid assumption. You've known more addicts than straight people~, how many of them have family members who get accused of really murdering them when they disappear? I'm guessing none, because within context it's a moronic assumption to make. Is the rehab personnel and police supposed to be keeping the media updated on some actor who is strung out? Get real.

its not just that he disappeared, its all of the other facts surrounding it that are suspicious. i mean OMG MURDER!!1 may very well not be the case, but it just seems suspect to me is all

i know she doesnt have to tell us which facility hes in and all that jazz, but i just feel like the police wont waste their time investigating, especially if hes a known addict (which, by the way, IS he a known addict? or are we just going off of her word again?) i feel like if she says he was in rehab, theyd just take her word *shrug*

Are you mentally disabled in some manner or being purposely obtuse? The actual point is that her question was valid. Without knowing all the information (which we don't), asking a question like that is one way to GET information. I'm not saying the wife killed the husband. I'm not saying junkies don't have the smarts to disappear or that this particular person didn't ask to keep his rehab information private. I'm saying that she has the right to ask a question. What bug crawled up your ass and made you the authority on what someone can and cannot ask? JFC.
