Hunter Parrish talks Hunger Games/Catching Fire casting and being a singer/songwriter

On Hunger Games fans casting him for Finnick:

Well all the people that were fancast did end up auditioning. None of them got the roles though.

When I heard his name thrown out there, I could actually picture Finnick looking like him. He has more of the look that I thought of when reading the books

Oh yeah, and when people were coming up to him at stage door after Godspell, they were having him sign their Hunger Games books and telling him he was THEIR Peeta, so he didn't really get a chance to get over it. /run-on sentence

I think Hunter would have made a good Gale or Peeta. Finnick needs to be someone tall.. isn't Hunter like 5'6"?

5'7 is about right. I'm 5'5" (5'5 and a half if we want to be specific) and he was maybe a couple of inches taller than I am when I had on sneakers. The other times I had on boots with a one inch sole and we were about even.
