Halle Berry ordered to pay baby daddy $20,000/month in child support



Some of Halle Berry's "New Year's Eve" money will be going to baby daddy Gabriel Aubry, because a judge has just ordered the actress to shell out nearly a quarter of a million bucks a year in child support.

Lawyers for Halle and Gabriel were in court Monday, and sources connected with Gabriel tell TMZ ... the family law judge ordered Halle to pay Nahla's daddy $20,000 a month.

Although Nahla is 4, until Monday there was never a child support order issued by a judge, but now one is in place.

We're told both sides are still at war, and they will soon be battling in court over whether Halle can take Nahla and move to Paris.

I really hope Halle doesn't win and get to move her daughter to France. To move a child that far away from a parent that wants to be involved in it's life is cruel and selfish.

I doubt she will, the child evaluation said that moving to France would be harmful to Nahla's relationship with her dad.

I wish she'd [they'd] realize she's [they're] only hurting Nahla. One day she's gonna be old enough to look up all this shit on the internet. Plus, if Halle moves her to France now, who's to say Nahla won't decide she wants to live with her dad 8-10 years from now? A judge will listen to her then.

Yea, it just makes me think there are so many parents who want nothing to do with their kids and don't want relationships with them that when someone does it'd be a shame to move the kid so far away.

Agreed. Even if it's an amazing career move, etc, it's one of those "things you have to sacrifice for your kids". It's not fair to move that little girl so far away from her father, who by all reports loves her and wants to be in her life.

i was talking to a friend (she lives with her aunt) and she graduated from harvard. we'll just say she's making a lot more than 8 figures. anyway, i told my friend if she just took the bus instead of just buying cars, she would save so much money but she said no, because her buying a car is equivalent to me taking a bus compared to her income.

I don't think it's a matter of how much they NEED for the month, nobody needs that, but that based on the parents salary that's how much should go to the child. Like, if you're making millions shouldn't a fair amount of that go towards the child to ensure they are getting what they deserve? Ideally, the parent who receives the support would then put that money away and save it for university or the future.

Like it seems like a lot, but it makes sense.

Some people have to pay little money because they're dirt poor and some have to pay a lot when they're rich. :shrug: It's a percentage of her income and she obviously makes a lot. I don't see the big deal tbh.

ia. child support should be determined by how much a child needs. i think, though, they look at how much the one paying out makes yearly and puts out that number. i think.

I was surprised it was this much tbh, 20k a month is what Britney pays for 2 kids. Then again Britney "annual income" was only around 13 million when it was set.

Does Halle really have to move to Paris? can't Oliver move to LA, its not like he is doing anything or has children? Also Halle will still be shooting movies in La and the such.....so this makes no sense to me.
