Russell Brand has revealed that he now owns a gun.
The British comedian explained that he decided to purchase a gun after moving to Los Angeles, despite his mother telling him not to.
"I've been learning to fire guns. My mother said, 'Don't learn to fire guns, Russell'," he is quoted as saying in The Sun. "Well, I've learnt and now I've got one. I mean, me, own a gun? I shouldn't really have access to hair gel but I can fire a gun if I need to."
Brand also joked that he finds guns "cool", and said it made him feel like a Hollywood legend.
"To be honest, guns are fun. When I was learning I was firing all over the place - obviously not at people but I was hitting all these targets. I felt like John Wayne," he commented.
Russell Brand was described as a "strange" but "wonderful" man by the Dalai Lama when they met over the weekend. The actor can currently be seen in musical comedy Rock of Ages, alongside Alec Baldwin and Tom Cruise.

i hope he accidentally shoots himself when he's drunk. RIP in advance bro.
I went shooting with friends a couple of times, and I really want a gun.
But I'd probably get something small with cheap ammo so I can go to the range and really use it mostly for sport like a .22

I really might get one this fall.
The last time I went to a range, I got to shoot a revolver. I loved it, haha
a .22 would just piss off the person breaking into your house

Honestly, YouTube has a lot of great gun-related videos that help you learn the basics of breaking down/cleaning guns, but for basic gun safety, have a responsible friend teach you or take a class. Once you learn proper trigger discipline and get over the initial nerves (I had plenty), shooting is a great hobby.
but I won't have a gun in the house. not because i'm super gun control (though i'd ban assault weapons and gun show sales if i could) but because i have several major health problems and know eventually that night would come when i'd act because i was sick of it. since i've had a few of those already and had to tough it out until morning.
but as long as people know the difference, and it sounds like you do, between a tool, and something used to make you feel badass, and "solve" problems, guns are ok. some ranges, idk where you are bb, let you store your gun there, if you felt weird about having it locked up at home. and some rent handguns too, for the range.

gurl come to america and you won't even blink twice at seeing one.
With all the recent gun violence in Toronto, though, I'm not too sure anymore.
he has potential but he's flopped so bad here.
