BREAKING: 1 person dead after Radiohead stage collapse in Toronto



A stage at Toronto's Downsview Park has collapsed in advance of a scheduled Radiohead concert, killing one person and injuring at least three, according to Toronto EMS.

Downsview Park has tweeted that the concert is cancelled. Gates had been scheduled to open at 5 p.m. EST

My brother was going to this.

I know it's terrible still, but it could have been A LOT worse if it happened tonight.

I don't think its terrible. Its sad what happened, but we have seen what happens in these situations when concerts are happening. Its catastrophic

A friend of mine actually tours with them as part of the tech crew - luckily he wasn't hurt. They're all completely shocked by it :( I agree, although this is tragic, it could have been so much worse if it had happened later during the show.

yeah, this isn't right. unless stage collapses were common even before this past year/and a half.

there must be some new code or material that is just not cutting it in real situations.
