She has recently denied miming on stage so perhaps Cheryl Cole was trying to take the attention off her singing today.
The 28-year-old popstar was the surprise guest at tonight’s Capital FM Summertime Ball but no one was talking about her vocals as she took to the stage in a hideous, multi-coloured jumpsuit by designer Pam Hogg.
Despite an energetic performance of latest single Call My Name, complete with 12 backing dancers, there was no distracting from the unflattering outfit she chose to perform in.
Cheryl opted for heavy make-up, no doubt to ensure it didn’t sweat off during her up-tempo performance and kept her long brunette locks tied back in a high ponytail.
Pink confetti rained down on her at the end of the performance.
Cheryl confirmed after she left the stage that her next single will be either Under The Sun or Screw You.
Call Me Maybe humor never dies
Coldplay opened the evening’s proceedings with frontman Chris Martin introducing the band by joking, ‘We’re Coldplay and we’re Justin Bieber’s dads’.
According to reports on Twitter, performer Justin got stuck in a lift for 15 minutes at Wembley Stadium. However, he put that behind him to put on an impressive show.
Wearing a Union Jack T-shirt, he was greeted with deafening screams from the crowd.

Bieber’s mentor Usher also performed although there was a dramatic moment during the song Burn when some of the flames which were set up for the performance actually set the stage alight and had to be extinguished by a stage hand.
Flo Rida, clutching an impressive gold winged microphone arrived on stage wearing a sleeveless black studded jacket and a Rolling Stone T-shirt but quickly stripped them off to show off his huge muscles and impressive tattoos.
The rapper then got up close and personal with his audience, to the delight of those in the crowd.
Pitbull performed with a full band including a saxophonist while Example was one of the many British artists to play.
She was given the honour of closing the show at the show at Capital FM’s Summertime Ball and Katy Perry ended the night in style.
After performances from stars including Cheryl Cole, Coldplay and Justin Bieber there was pressure on the final act to impress and Katy rose to the occasion beautifully.
Taking to the stage in a retro polka-dot outfit, highlights included Part of Me and an acoustic version of The One That Got Away.
Katy sported a black bobbed wig with fringe for the occasion and matched her unusual outfit with flat shoes, no doubt so she could keep up with the dance moves.

The couple first met at California’s Coachella festival in April and enjoyed a brief romance before splitting last month.
However, they rekindled their romance when Katy recently jetted in to London and have been spotted on a number of dates in the English capital, including dinner dates in East London.
Yet after her performance at the Summertime Ball, the kooky songstress had a different type of date in mind and booked a bowling alley down the road from Wembley so they could enjoy a laid back evening.
