Movies on these kind of issues always come across as so one sided. Don't like it, makes me feel uncomfortable :/

Movies like this tend to make me uncomfortable - they usually demonise one side for the benefit of the other.

That said, it does look like an interesting film.

Same. I outright cringed when I read the description (partly because of the 'terrorist' label, I thought it was going to be a very YAYBRITAIN kind of film. But I read up a bit more on it and the novel it's based on, and it seems to stay away from favouring one 'side' over the other, especially with how Clive Owen's character reacts once he's actually in Belfast. I think the trailer does a pretty good job of pointing out the 'gray' area of who's right or wrong, as well, with the 'no side is safe', etc.

Actually in the movie neither side comes out smelling like roses. But to be fair, only one side is shown planting bombs in rush-hour subways.

Yeah, same. After reading the above comments I have a bit more hope.

Hmm. Not too bad on the Belfast accents in this one, bad, but not AS bad as some, so that's nice. Idk I love films that address the Troubles as I find that part of our recent history really fasinating for the normal people that got sucked into either side, but idk I feel if this film doesn't end with her ~going missing~ it won't have been that true to life, as they WOULD find her.

/hasn't read the book, clearly lol!!

This movie has two really good surprises and it could have been absolutely fucking amazing with a really great editor. But it's good.

This reminds me of 50 Dead Men Walking. I love Andrea Riseborough though.
