Guillermo del Toro’s Pinocchio unveils concept art



The first official concept art for Pan’s Labyrinth director Guillermo del Toro’s Pinocchio has been revealed, giving us a glimpse into the quirky tone of the stop-motion film.

The visionary director is set to helm the animated movie alongside Fantastic Mr. Fox‘s Mark Gustafson, and could be working with a cast including Daniel Radcliffe. Although the duo might not be shooting the film until next year, the first concept art has been revealed in an EW article.

It's gorgeous, but can they pull it off? I've gotten excited about concept art before (Steampunk Mickey, anyone?) and been disappointed by the result.

Speaking of artsy films, I wish another movie like "Strings" would be made. It's genuinely one of the most amazing things I've ever seen. And the ending makes me bawl like a baby. :(

the blood tea and red strings movie (or whatever it's called)? I need to re-watch it, it was visually awesome but I can't really remember much of the story

These are FANTASTIC! Unbelievable that they're doing stop motion of these. The dolls are probably going to be very tricky, laaaawd I can't even fantom the work they are going to have.
