Is Ma$e Signing With G.O.O.D. Music?
Ma$e’s tweet implies that Kanye’s G.O.O.D. Music label is recruiting the former Bad Boy artist, and from the looks of the tweet, Ma$e was impressed with the offer. Kanye West has never been shy when speaking about Ma$e’s influence on him as an artist, even being quoted as saying that Ma$e was his favorite rapper.
Rumors were swirling a few weeks back that Ma$e was going to be signing with Rick Ross and MMG. It looks like things may get interesting. Which label do you think is a better look for Ma$e – G.O.O.D. Music or MMG?

BREAKING NEWS: Jimmy Henchman Found Guilty Of All Charges
The trial of music industry mogul James “Jimmy Henchman” Rosemond came to a close today in a Brooklyn federal court.
A jury found Rosemond guilty of all 13 charges levied against him, for allegedly heading up the “Rosemond Organization.”
Federal prosecutors claim the organization shipped hundreds of kilograms on a weekly basis from the West Coast, using various overnight courier services.
The drugs were then shipped to New York, while the proceeds were sent back to the West Coast.
Rosemond was emotionless when the jurors reached their verdict, while his family friends and supporters showed obvious signs of disappointment.
“I am very disappointed by the verdict,” Rosemond’s lawyer Gerald Shargel told AllHipHop.com exclusively. “There were a lot of reasons to doubt the government’s case.”
James Rosemond was the CEO of Czar Entertainment, which at its height, managed artists like Akon, Brandy, Groove Theory, Gucci Mane, Game, Michael K. Williams, Mike Tyson, Sheek Louch, and numerous others.
Rosemond is facing life in prison. He will be sentenced at a later date.

Roc-A-Fella Co-Founder Kareem “Biggs” Burke Sentenced to Five Years In Prison For Conspiring to Distribute Marijuana
Kareem “Biggs” Burke, who is most famously known as one of the co-founders of Roc-A-Fella, was sentenced earlier today (June 5) to five years in prison for conspiring to distribute over 100 kilos of marijuana.
The NY Daily News is reporting that Burke, 38, “was snared in a federal drug sting called “Operation Green Venom,” which targeted a trafficking ring that controlled most of the wholesale pot market in the city.” The drug sting led to the arrests of over 50 people involved.
Reports state that Burke swore to Manhattan Federal Court Judge Loretta Swain that the two would never see each other in court again. She responded, “Nothing personal, but I’m going to keep you to that promise.”

Exclusive: Nas Talks Summer Jam, Nicki Minaj vs. Hot 97, & Lauryn Hill
How did you get Lauryn Hill to come out?
Nicki had asked me to come out during her set and so I figured that would be a great way to go into my show. I only wanted to bring out Lauryn during my set, so she was with it. That’s my sister.
Can we expect another collaboration between the two of you?
I don’t know. She’s amazing. I’d love to.
What do you make of the whole YMCMB vs. Hot 97 drama?
I’ve been there before and things like that happen every couple of years. I guess this is the second time something has happened like that between the artist and the radio station. We don’t always agree and the nature of hip-hop can be aggressive and get real gangsta on you now and then. That’s just what it is. These things happen.
Lauryn wrote a letter in support of Nicki. Do you stand by her decision not to perform?
[YMCMB's] situation was different than mine and I’m not clear on all of it, but of course when it happened with me years ago, it was based on the Jay-Z drama and a whole bunch of other stuff. Her situation is based on something different between her and her camp. Eventually I got cool with Hot 97 and they got cool with me. It’s one hip-hop family, and that’s how it should be at the end of the day.
Did you speak to Nicki about the situation?
I think it was just really messy. When you’re in the heat of that moment, no one has time to inform anybody, but we spoke after briefly and it seemed like it was a crazy situation for her to handle. When put in that position, it’s no easy thing and I guess I was in support of her, in support of Hot 97. I’ve been there before, so at the end of the day, it could be fixed. It’s one hip-hop family, let’s unify it.

Bow Wow Disses Former Girlfriend Ciara – “Get That Techno Sh*t Outta Here”
Bow Wow seems pretty upset that Ciara’s new single, “Sweat”, has the same title as his previous single that he released earlier this year under YMCMB. Bow Wow’s version featured Lil’ Wayne, while Ciara’s version features rapper 2Chainz and has more of a dance, fast-paced beat.

Nicki Minaj Planning Free Concert In New York
This morning (June 5), Nicki Minaj revealed that she would play a free show in New York to make up with her fans that were disappointed that she didn’t play Hot 97′s Summer Jam after a conflict with the radio station.
Nicki Minaj told the Power 105 FM’s Breakfast Club (Angela Yee, Charlamagne and DJ Envy) that she was going to move forward with the efforts to make her fans happy, confirming what was previously rumored.
“Its still in the works, but its definitely gonna happen,” Nicki said of the free concert. “We gonna make it work.”
“This was actually Wayne’s suggestion. Wayne was like ‘Yo Nick, we can do our own show for the people. You don’t have to feel bad.’ Obviously, I felt bad. I don’t want to let my fans down period,” she continued. “We’re going to have fun.”
“In the beginning I felt it was horrible and then afterwards, I felt this happens for a reason. And like I said last night [to Funk Master Flex], [Summer Jam] needs to value [me]. No one has the right to treat you like this. I don’t care who you are.”

Drake’s 3rd Annual “OVO Festival” To Feature A$AP Rocky, The Weeknd and 2 Chainz
In its third year, the Toronto-held “October’s Very Own Festival,” which Drake has headlined since its creation, will feature performances from A$AP Rocky, The Weeknd, and 2 Chainz.
Drake tweeted the news out last night: “OVO Fest August 5th. A$AP Rocky, 2 Chainz, The Weeknd, Drake. A special night we’ve created for the greatest city…Toronto.”
The nine-time Grammy Award-nominated rapper and singer said in a statement:
"In past years, the “OVO Festival” has featured such acts as Nas, Stevie Wonder, Eminem, Jay-Z, Young Jeezy, and Rick Ross. “That’s the most important show of the year to me, OVO Fest, so I’m hoping that we really make it special this year,” he told MTV earlier this year. “The premise of OVO Fest is you never know who you gonna see.”

EXCLUSIVE: Boldy James [BGA] Signs Decon Deal For Alchemist Produced Album
Detroit born and raised rapper Boldy James, cousin of Cool Kids producer/rapper Chuck Inglish, has struck a deal with Decon Records for one album exclusively produced by the Alchemist.
The two developed a chemistry while working on the Alchemist’s recent project Russian Roulette, when the duo got to work in Alchemist’s Los Angeles studio several months ago.
“It was supposed to be a mixtape, and it turned into an album, and we got a deal for the album,” Boldy James told AllHipHop.com in an exclusive interview. “Al is one of the most easiest going producers, one of the dopest producers to work with so far besides, of course, my cuzzo, Chuck Inglish.”
Boldy James was tight lipped about the actual title of the project after he and Jadakiss used the same title, Consignment, for their recent projects. So, Boldy believes there’s good reason to hold back the title until it actually releases.
New Music: LoLa Monroe – ‘Goldie (Remix)’

Did Foxy Stop Maino From Leaking A Sex Tape?
Do you remember when Foxy Brown had a screen shot of a supposed sex tape a ways back? I do. Well, we (as far as I know) never knew who was the culprit behind that whole thing. Only thing I knew was somebody was trying to put Inga’s sexcapades on blast! Anyway, I recently heard it was actually Maino that was putting the screws to Foxy.
Remember, Fox was beefing with Kim and Maino was riding crazy hard for Kim at the time. He was like the Deebo of the rap game. Anyway, I don’t know how he may have obtained it (if he did), but that screen shot got everybody looking for a money shot, because Fox was seemingly going down on some dude. The video never happened and I heard Foxy was somehow able to get it stopped. Whether or not it was Maino for sure, I don’t know….for sure.
ONTD hip hop fans, I'd like to introduce you to peachclub who will occasionally be contributing to these posts from now on.
There will be lots of other new things coming to these posts so keep an eye out peeps!
A$AP ROCKY LIVE SHOW & AFTER-PARTY REVIEW (06/07/12)
The prettiest motherfucker took London with a spectacular TOUR DE FORCE PERFORMANCE at the first of his 2 scheduled concerts in the UK at the Electric Ballroom. Rocky opened up with Purple Swag to a crowd who crazy moshed like it was Nirvana '93. Sleepy stoner tune 'Wassup' probably had the most fervent reaction from the audience and definitely my favourite bit of the night. A$AP played songs from his mixtape as well as newer ones like ‘Goldie’ and ‘Pretty Flacko’ and even his own remix of track 'I dont like'. The concert was surreal and ASAP even noted the energy, ('you guys are a trill f*cking crowd'). The scene that followed in the VIP room at his official afterparty though, was surreal on a whole different level...
I am not a naive person, I have been been to my fair share of rock/hip hop concerts and a couple VIP parties. I saw the gorgeous groupies backstage during Kings of Leon's heyday. I know who Kat Stacks is and I've seen Almost Famous but I had NO WORDS for the way the girls reacted when ASAP finally got to the club. I’m not gonna lie, I wouldnt mind rocking a freakum dress and letting my feet bleed a couple hours in my best Loubs if it meant waking up to his gold teeth but, DAMN SON.
We managed to blag our way into the VIP room but soon as Rocky showed up it turned into a whole new moshpit. The girls were literally GRABBING him by the neck, his arms, his BRAIDS, there were at least 20 women all around him and 30 more CLOSING IN. Bear in mind all this was IN THE CLUB - this wasn’t during one of his notorious stage dives, this was INSIDE A BOTTLE SERVICE ESTABLISHMENT, AROUND SMARTPHONES, dude actually had a bouncer there helping him fight off all the hoes, it was mentalist.
Not one to give up easy, my BFF grabbed me like it was the last boat on the Titanic and pushed through the throng of heel wearing wildebeests till we were almost next to him. I thought 'FVCK IT YOLO a kiss on the cheek is probably the best thing I could hope for' and he super sweetly agreed. You could tell ASAP felt suffocated by because before you knew it, blink and you missed it, he was gone. Managed to get a couple of words in Spanish from ASAP Yams (or A$AP Freeloader as I like to call him) and then he was gone too.
Seeing as Rocky is gracing the cover of this month's french girly fashion magazine JALOUSE, I am starting to wonder how much of Rocky's success may be down to his looks? There's no denying he is one of the hottest names in hip hop right now and not many people come close in terms of his originality and unique sound but maybe the fact the kid is so easy on the eye creates a bigger fanbase/popularity. Maybe he's no D'Angelo (editor: UM SIS, not even close...) just yet but maybe it's not that far away...
I mean, he just dropped a collab with Usher...
