One Million Moms retaliates against JCPenney's Dads ad, tries to cover up their attack on DC Comics

J.C. Penney's Father's Day advertisement that features a same-sex couple consisting of two fathers playing with two children, (seen in this post) has outraged the American Family Association's One Million Moms who feel the company is "promoting sin."

In the advertisement that appears in J.C Penney's June catalog, two children are showed hugging their two fathers next to a headline that reads, "First Pals -- What makes Dad so cool? He's the swim coach, tent maker, best friend, bike fixer and hug giver -- all rolled into one. Or two. Real-life dads Todd Koch and Cooper Smith with their children Claire and Mason."

One Million Moms is calling for people to stand against the advertisement.

"One Million Moms (OMM) is disturbed that JC Penney's (JCP) is continuing down the same path of promoting sin in their advertisements," a statement read on the One Million Moms website. "In JCP's June catalog, there is another homosexual ad, but this time with two dads celebrating Father's Day."

The men featured in J.C. Penney's latest ad said they were approached in February to be included in the Father's Day catalog and that a variety of families had been sought for the issue.

"The photo is just a one-second photo of our life. It's a candid moment of how we interact with each other," Smith told the Dallas Voice.

Just a few minutes ago, One Million Moms on their Facebook page issued a “warning,” linked to an ABC News story, reporting that D.C. Comics character Green Lantern is gay, but pulled the piece after at least 83 comments — all but a handful positive — were posted.

As The New Civil Rights Movement reported this morning and last week, D.C. Comics’ character Alan Scott (Green Lantern) has been “rebooted” and is now gay — which has been very popular since reported.

When I happened upon the posting, it seemed that there were more than 100 comments, but when I tried to access the post on it’s individual page, it came up with an error message: “The page you requested was not found.”

I went back to the main One Million Moms Facebook page, noticed there were now only 83 comments, clicked to access the post’s individual page again, took a screen shot, but noticed there were only a few dozen comments.

I went back to the main One Million Moms Facebook page again, and noticed the post was gone.

It appears that the administrator of the One Million Moms Facebook page attempted to delete the positive comments, then simply deleted the entire post.

What you see above is the screenshot I took, showing almost all comments but a few were positive.

Amusingly, they also deleted a post at read that their “fans might need a time out,” or something similar.

It’s great to know that One Million Moms is aware they are not popular and their views are not shared by the vast majority of people around the world.

Bottom line: Todd Koch and Copper Smith are amazing, and One Million Moms can suck it. It seems that OMM basically consists of pissed off housewives that aren't getting any from their husbands....

If they weren't helping to spread hate, I'd just be laughing at them. Imagine the surprise they're going to get when they rock up at the pearly gates and are denied, while the good gays walk on in. The ultime schadenfreude.
