Billionaire Mark Zuckerberg Can't Afford To Leave A Tip

Mark Zuckerberg's billions keep shrinking -- poor guy -- but is that a good excuse to skate on a tip after a romantic dinner in Italy? Depends on who ya ask ... and if you're any good at converting dollars to euros.

i'm an esthetician and we usually get 20% too. i've had tourists or people who have gift cards tip like 5-10 when 20% is about 20$, but i would NEVER discuss the tip with the actual guest. that's crazy ridiculous and, as you said, tacky as all hell.

5%?? I always tip 20% for beauty services...especially to my waxer, who gets a little over 20%

much appreciated! i try not to think about it too much - maybe that person is going through something. the only time i ever mentioned it was with this woman who was talking about having lost her job and i told her to please not worry about tipping me and that being able to help her out during a hard time was enough. typed out it sounds cheesy as hell but seriously - if you're that strapped and just desperately need some time for yourself, i can swallow the loss.

Maybe I'm dumb...so you can clear this up for me. But do people that work in salons/hair dressers/nail people/wax people not make at the very least minimum wage?

Now waiters I understand make basically nothing and the 20% is validated but I don't understand tipping 20% + to a hair stylist. I sometimes do and sometimes don't tip that much, depending.

as a commission esthie, i make 7.25 hourly if i'm not booked more than 50% of the time.
