Hey if you never heard her talk in interviews before and never really looked into her band's origins, it's an easy assumption to make.

NGL, I've heard her accent a million times from her appearances on the Late Late Show (watching Shirley and Craigyferg riff is fucking amazing, btw) but I never really thought about how she's not American. Hurrah for kinda-sorta-ethno-centricism, assuming all popular acts in America are from America.
