Chuck D Offers Update On Public Enemy’s Two New Albums “Most Of My Heroes…” and “The Evil Empire of Everything”
Public Enemy will mark the 25th anniversary of their 1987 debut album, Yo! Bum Rush the Show, with the release of the group’s 13th and 14th studio albums, respectively titled Most of My Heroes Still Don’t Appear on No Stamp and The Evil Empire of Everything.
Chuck D spoke on the group’s two new albums to Billboard: “They’re twins, fraternal twins – not identical, but they will talk to each other. The statement with these albums isn’t so much just within the content, but in the audacity of the release, just like, ‘What the hell? Two albums that bookend the summer? What the hell?!’
“But we know we’ve got a fan base that’s kind of acclimated and used to albums,” he continued, “because we were the first to come along and kind of bring a concept album to the hip-hop marketplace. So we oblige this year by doing not one, but two.

Is Lil’ Kim A Liar? – Birdman Thinks So!
...during a promotional run for the tour the Queen Bee sat down with the Breakfast Club and gave her version of the origin of the Nicki Minaj beef. Lil’ Kim basically said that she was set to sign with Cash Money and did a song featuring her and Nicki Minaj for Birdman’s album. The song never made it on the album and Kim says that Nicki Minaj stole her whole swag from that song.
Birdman says Lil’ Kim is not telling an accurate account of what happened. Check out what he told MTV’s DJ Envy below:
Nah, ain’t no truth to that, we based on creativity. If you know about YMCMB and you ever followed us and been a part of our music, biting and stealing that sh*t just ain’t for us. All [those] rap wars, we just grinding for the money, sun up, sun down. It’s Nicki Minaj all day everyday.”
Who do you believe?

Saigon Goes In On Rick Ross And Big Sean For Making Destructive Music
Politically smart and socially conscious Brooklyn rapper Saigon is upset with the current state of Hip-Hop music and points his fingers at popular artists, Rick Ross and G.O.O.D. Music’s Big Sean.
Why ya’ll supportin’ a n*gga that promotes the destruction of our community? Why are you doin’ that? Why would you let this n*gga thrive and we don’t know where our next jobs are coming from? He’s rapping about selling kilos of cocaine and selling drugs. This is what he’s about, this whole lifestyle saying he’s so rich and he eats shrimp every night, and ya’ll support this sh*t?,” Sai told SOHH, referring to Ross.
“Ya’ll broke and poor and your family’s about to get kicked out. That’s our hit son! That’s his hit. Nobody knows the words to this song, all they know is “a$$, a$$, a$$, a$$, a$$, a$$, a$$” [background noises]. We don’t care about “a$$, a$$, a$$, a$$,” but this is the society we livin’ in right now. So it’s like alright.”
Do you think Saigon has a point, or is he just disgruntled because Ross and Big Sean are having success? Saigon’s album “The Greatest Story Never Told” is currently available on iTunes.
SOURCE
Y'know what, he's totally on point about Big Sean but I think there's room for ~frivolous/shallow rap, the problem is when that's what is dominating the mainstream as it is now.

Man Shoots Up The Block For Meek Mill? Then Tweets?
So, there is a rumor that a man reportedly shot up the block as he listened to Dreamchasers 2 by Meek Mill. As the story is told, he is so amped up that he goes shoots up the block and then turns around and decides to see “who got hit.” So, dude got so amped up over listening to Meek, dude airs out the block, trying to kill somebody, and then also wants to see who got shot. Got it? Right.
Here is the real foolishness.
Dude tweets it and then, on top of that, he @’s Meek Mill. Meek proceeds to add it to his Instagram, which then leads to everybody calling him an idiot. I have not been able to determine if he was just poppin’ junk or actually did shoot up the block and tweet a crime to a rapper that then sent it to his network of 1.2 million followers on Twitter.
Whoa!
