Kristin Davis Dating My King: Oscar-Winning Writer And Generally Flawless Human Aaron Sorkin

Charlotte York would totally approve of this one: Kristin Davis is dating writer Aaron Sorkin, multiple sources tell E! News.

"It's been going on for around six weeks," says a source. "They are really happy. They have actually known each other a while through mutual friends and would sometimes bump into one another at industry events, but it has only just turned into something more."

"He is obviously really smart...and Kristin is very intelligent, too," adds the source. "They have a lot to talk about."

The couple, who have both been open about past substance abuse struggles and their subsequent sobriety, have "been out quite a few times on both coasts," according to a source.

Sorkin, whose screenplay for The Social Network won an Oscar, has a 12-year-old daughter, Roxy, from a previous marriage. Davis, 47, adopted a baby girl, Gemma Rose, in 2011.

The 50-year-old West Wing creator was married to Julia Bingham from 1996 to 2005. He's also been romantically linked to Kristin Chenoweth.

Davis has never been married, and her rep declined to comment on her personal life. Besides the Sex and the City flicks, she recently starred in Journey 2: The Mysterious Island.

Mostly because I realized how fun she was to watch. And while I don't agree with her views on marriage/her need for it, I admire her for never giving up on what she wanted. Like Carrie wrote when she dedicated her book to Charlotte, she always believed in love and I found that really sweet.

he spoke at my graduation b/c we gave him an honorary doctorate. the other person receiving an honorary doctorate was a 90 year old woman, and when my dbag school president was making this poor old lady stand FOREVER while he rattled off a list of things she's done, aaron sorkin actually got up and asked her if she was okay/needed to sit down and it was super qt.

I just finished re-watching sports night and I can't believe how much they lost the plot in season 2. Bringing in William H. Macy and killing off the chemistry between Felicity and whatshis face. They brought it together towards the end but it was too late.

Stick with it, even through season 5. You gotta watch the whole thing, even though there are certain aspects of the post-Sorkin seasons which I refuse to acknowledge.

see i just finished, and i watched 1-4 in like a month and a half, and then watched 5,6,7 by kinda jumping around...nothing ever compared to the first four seasons though!

I must say, I am on my first viewing of the show - best show ever ever ever with Breaking Bad, The Wire and Buffy - and now that I'm on s7, I find myself skipping scenes/entire episodes. Why? BECAUSE NO WAY WITH THE TONY THING. NO. NO NO NO NO NO. HE WOULD *NEVER*.

my dad's family grew up with the sorkins and aaron used to be besties with my aunt before she passed away. he was really sweet and used to send us free theater tickets all the time lol
