LOOK AT GOD: Justin Timberlake to make new music for new movie.

Fans pining for more Justin Timberlake music, rejoice. The "Sexy Back" singer has signed on to provide the soundtrack for "The Devil and the Deep Blue Sea,".

The film (the title of which sounds deceptively like a Bright Eyes song, and is similar to an actual George Harrison song) is set to start shooting later this year. Bill Purple will direct Jeffrey Dean Morgan, it-girl Chloe Moretz and Justin Timberlake's longtime love Jessica Biel. Biel and Timberlake are supposedly tying the knot this summer.

It's a tale of some New Orleans natives who build a raft to cross the Atlantic after Morgan's character loses his wife. Timberlake will also serve as music superviser, per THR.

Timberlake hasn't put out an album since 2006's mega-popular Future Sex/Love Sounds. He has long explained his absence from music as a matter of shifting interests. Though he maintained he always loved music, he also cited the music industry as corrupting. In June of 2011, he told Playboy that music was always on his mind. "You go through these spurts when you miss it. In a perfect world I'd love to be able to involve myself in music and films as they come and go," he said. "But I'm always writing music, always thinking about ideas for songs."

"Unfortunately, the business of music is what taints an artist's desire to make music," he continued at the time. "I don't want to paint a picture of being jaded, because I love making music. I honestly love it. But there is a level where making music becomes a total life-sucking commitment."

But don't expect his "Deep Blue Sea" moment to resurrect the Timberlake you know from N*SYNC. The singer has previously said he feels he "looked like a moron" during his boy band days, due in large part to his "marionette"-like desire to conform.

The "Social Network" actor recently told paparazzi that they should "get a real job". He and Biel, who have often been spotted being affectionate, were rumored to have engaged in January of this year.

Even though I feel like this soundtrack will be all weird and ambiance like(I dunno why.), I'm excited JT is making music again.

Since he's relatively so young (30 or 31) it's easy to forget that Justin has been in show biz for about 20 years counting the Mousketeer club, so I could see where he needs to take breaks from music, etc.

Whatever Justin.

I've had FS/LS on repeat in my car for the past week or so after hearing My Love on shuffle one day.. one of my fav. albums ever.
Maybe he doesn't want to make a new one because it won't live up to the hype?
ellaellaeheheh 24th-May-2012 02:33 pm (UTC)
maybe he will do this and will realize that he loves music and wants to do it again.
I can hope.

I don't get why he always has to put down his boy band days. Yeah sure, there's some embarrassing photos and whatnot, but that's just being a teenager.
shunda84 24th-May-2012 04:09 pm (UTC)
Exactly. It's a part of his history. All boy bands had the corny, bad outfits & photos. Get over it. Stop putting down where you came from dude.
insertcandyhere 24th-May-2012 03:08 pm (UTC)
FSLS was honestly EVERYTHING. perfect pop album.
i just got a new car and i can't wait to blast it because it never gets old
getbacknow 24th-May-2012 03:17 pm (UTC)

londonsquare 24th-May-2012 03:21 pm (UTC)
nope. She's been running around with a clunky ass ring.
getbacknow 24th-May-2012 03:32 pm (UTC)
lol ok i must be thinking of a completely different couple...who broke up recently?
manu19 24th-May-2012 03:19 pm (UTC)
he's only doing the score for her movie, nothing to really get too excited about

FSLT was the best concert i been to
londonsquare 24th-May-2012 03:21 pm (UTC)
I can understand his wanting to take a break from music (I mean for real...it's almost been 6 years. Dude, come on)and his disdain for the music industry (it is pretty shitty).

But he's Justin Timberlake this guy could take a shit on vinyl and wrap it up with a bow and it would still sell. If he doesn't like the industry - change it. He has his own label, a very loyal and broad fan base (of his music, lbr here), and there is no denying that he is ridiculously talented.

IDK, i just want new music from him and I basically want the FS/LS era back because that shit was flawfree and gave me so much life.

Will forever love seeing him first row at Staples and Kanyesus came out and they did "Stronger." One of the best concert moments of my damn life.
